I don't think medallions have ever been as good as when they were introduced where all of them were equally strong and there were a lot of them. Consolidating them and making their abilities too good is a huge mistake for replay value.

Hunters had the Typhoon Blade and busted Shogun medallion
Lawless was a complete disaster because of the black markets and the Bat
Star Wars weapon pool was insanely boring til the last week
Super had the Storm Beast and Kor's medallion post buff was gross
