And at launch there were no streak bonuses at platinum and above, only recently did they give you big bonuses for 10+ win streaks at Plat/Diamond.

A quick googke search tells me It took like 700 matches just to get to Plat at launch with a 48%.

The reality of ranked is that it's bo3 and people are (and always will be) rewarded for throwing a bunch of random bullshit at you as fast as possible. I prefer long sets myself - and at your level pretty much any kind of playing will be good for you - but dealing with that random bullshit is a skill you'll eventually have to work on
