Sadly, no. I can't quite max out my 240Hz monitor, which makes the game literally unplayable.

Earlier someone was saying that "Guts" isn't as good as it appears and 5% is negligible. So I did some testing with similar skill set ups versus the old comfy set up, neither one using Gore.
The difference in damage, same combo, same amount of hits, same time limit was roughly 10% damage.

So it's definitely worth it to use Guts.

One thing I really disliked about rise is how little biomes and monster habitats matter. The citadel is the biggest offender. Why are barioth and tigrex AND nargacuga all in the same habitat? or lagombi, arzuros, and volvidon?

Or like monsters, like anjanath can be found basically everywhere. I rreally just apperciated early monhun games consistency. Not every map should have toads and anticobras, flash bugs, etc.

That's not what I'm getting at. Sunbreak does do member berries with the hell hunters but it doesn't need to do it often because it just is a continuation of the older games. You dont need to do "remember old games?" when you just have old monsters and locations return and it's not a big event but just business as usual

To be fair, Rise did do things like bring back prior monster roars/sound effects and themes that World tried to re-do entirely like they never existed prior.

It still doesn't make up for the fact that Rise did just as much formula breaking shit as World did. If Rise actually cared and had a backbone in this, it would have went back to calling G Rank actually G Rank again and not "Master Rank".

Gravios is the only monster where you wanna SAED spam, most of the others don't give you enough openings. The main combo is shield thrust>AED>followup>morph>repeat. If you mean Wilds, anyway. It's less damage per hit but more consistent than trying to land SAEDs

The problems started with 4/4G

If anything the opposite is confusing to me. I just don't understand people who seem to think monster hunter was only ever standing in place charging a level 3 great sword slash. Like that hasn't been a thing since 4th gen and didn't even exist in 1st gen. Monster hunter is so much more than that. It's the maps you hunted on, the characters you spoke to, the monsters you fought, the strategies you learned, and ultimately the fun you had. At the end of the day GU/sunbreak pay more respect to that legacy that world/wilds do. I was hunting plesioth and garuga in the gen 2 jungle in GU recently and I had a flashback to me hunting garuga with mhg in dos. The only things that changed are I could now fly around the area with absolute readiness but garuga also became much more spastic and gained more combos so it evens out. I could never relive that experience in something like world or wilds because they don't want to bring old maps back and even if they brought something like plesioth back it would be neutered to hell.

DD2 was one thing, but having RE take brand-damage, the year following Monhun taking some too, is going to be bad if they want to continue having a semblance of good reputation while getting good financial performances with 70$ games...
