Everyone shits on 1.6 for the plotline being "Jiu is retarded" but it's actually about how horribly underprepared Jiu was for the world because everyone who could have helped her just abandoned her but she still tried to do her best and fucked up.
2.0 was just a fun time and idk why people call it boring.
1.5 had a lot of great moments and I think tried pretty hard to examine some of the dynamics of racism involved in the setting which are important when you have half the plot being about that, stumbles a bit though with some details about Spathodea and defacing an ancient heritage site so....humans can be mildly more comfortable.
If they had made the renovations match the original more it wouldn't be so bad but it felt like gentrification 101.

Kanjira and Matilda were pretty nice however. BP probably struggled to make meaningful interactions between two people with that big of an agegap and attitude. They've gotten better I suppose with Duncan and Sotheby but they had some connection there.

fucking based, i share pretty much every opinion here. jiu is very much what saves 1.6, someone who wants to do good but stumbles will always be an interesting thing to explore in a story. the 2.0 plot is lame and cheap but the moments with joe's gang are pretty fun, and 1.5 had very high potential but missed on the execution a little bit. the ending works really well for it though
