Guys, I used AI voice acting in my game. What this means is I can price my game lower. Instead of being 25 dollers, it will be 10, since become I didn't have to spend money on voice actors means I need less money to recoup the dev costs. I believe that's fair and if you disagree, you should die.

Sometimes I like to just open up a paint app and mindlessly doodle shapes until I can see something forming out of it, and then I complete it. Sometimes those doodles turn into characters, sometimes those characters need a world, then a plot, and then game mechanics spring forth almost naturally.

I hate AAA graphics and realism. I hate playing a shooting game and being unable to see because I'm going East at dawn. I hate mistaking a one of those pointless debris particles flying through the air in multiplayer shooters as a distant player.
I hate social media and having to take more than one photo of something with my family because my wife wants a "Good one." I own a Polaroid camera and it has never taken a "Bad one" because it doesn't show you your fucking pores. It also doesn't gamify the memory capturing experience because you cannot directly upload it to the Internet to feed the most disappointing and lame addiction in history.
One of my parents was addicted to gambling, specifically the bing bing wahoo VLT machines, and it nearly bankrupt my family, among other problems. Now everyone I know is a vapid bing bing wahoo cellphone addict who go to restaurants, parties, even rivers or lakes so they can be photographed doing things and upload these images to be viewed by their 'peers' who are equally corrupted by this retardation.
Sometime around the turn of the century technology stopped improving life and started making it worse. The worst part is that all of the same people I know who are hopelessly addicted to gamifying their social lives and relationships with family/friends all agree that social media is garbage but they are powerless to stop. If you took away Facebook, X, Instagram, on the basis of being harmful to the human experience, they would agree and nod and then start Bluesky and Threads accounts.

Easier said than done. You need to really think about a game YOU want to play, not just making whatever gameplay seems easiest to make (which is usually what platformers are)
A good 3D platformer usually has really solid base movement. Really, any good 3D game starts with revising the base movement until it feels fun to play with nothing but the movement.

How are you supposed to handle animated sprite sheets in Unity?
So far I've done two approaches
>single anim per sheet
>turn sheet into .anim sprite animation
and
>shader that ticks at a framerate and steps through an animation automatically
First is easy to make the .anims with some editor code but a hassle to juggle the animations in gameplay. Second feels a bit limited in that you'd want all animations to have the same amount of frames so you can control the row you're animating on the sprite sheet to change animation.
