I had no idea there was a role system in this game. You certainly wouldn't feel like it playing healer, where your only "role" is to mop up damage from raidwides (HP regen will recover from this anyway) and wiping people off the floor with raise (you can't use your bloated heals to keep people alive when they collect vuln stacks anyway). Otherwise you are spamming your singular damage and damage over time spells.

I guess tanking is technically a role because they have the arduous, most excruciating task of pressing ONE SINGLE FUCKING BUTTON in order to maintain aggro for the entire fight in most normal mode content. Or, if they venture into harder difficulties, they must press A SECOND BUTTON to provoke enemies for tank swaps.

I know this must be all too much for the current playerbase so I think that Yoshida will trust his market research, which as we all know has never failed him before, and conclude that the "roles" must be dumbed down even further.

So as far as we know, since the MSQ rarely talks about passage of time, the time that takes for you to start ARR to the time it takes you to reach 7.3 is the canon time that the wol took from arriving to eorzea to killing the primal of death.
