It's the cancel window for specials but that doesn't mean you can't confirm into normals. Generally it's easier. You can work it out with full frame data, starting on the active frame you connect on you add the hitstop (how long the game freezes for when the move connects), remaining active frames and the recovery together. Apparently it has 9 frames of hitstop, if you hit on the first frame, 2 remaining active frames then 7 frames of recovery, so you have 18f to confirm into cmk. I think counterhits do increase hitstop and hitstun in this game so 20f on counter.

I've noticed that no one can complain about anything or say anything sucks without people rushing in to call them retarded and shit on them for complaining instead of just labbing it out.
Even when people aren't losing to something and just think it sucks, or they're venting about how they hate the way something is designed, people will either call them retards and shit on them for having a negative opinion, or they will tell them to simply play something else and go away?

I've been involved in a lot of communities for fighting games for probably 15 years now, and it was never really like this. People used to be way more friendly and reasonable, there was just this understanding that these games are really frustrating at times and getting salty is part of the learning process, and that some of the design decisions really are just retarded but what can you do.

There have literally always been salty people that just wanna bitch about the shit they hate about whatever game they're playing, but I've never seen such a weird attitude towards it like we have today where its like people feel personally attacked if you have issues with the game and they need to chase you away and silence you if you do anything but praise the game. I've even had people in communities I run getting upset that we have dedicated spaces for being salty and saying that we should close or delete them because its "unhealthy" to have places that "promote negativity" and that these people are being harmed by getting to vent there. They literally monitor the venting spaces and shit on anyone that uses them, making sure no one talks badly about the drive system or stupid balance decisions without being told that the game is perfect and maybe they just suck at fighting games and should quit.

I'm not really talking about /sfg/ in particular, because this is a widespread issue.

Just reading all the throw loop replies, and I agree loops feel brainless and frustrating for sure, even if my character does benefit from them.

But check this out though, in SF6 corner throw loops seem deliberate; I mean the simple corner carries, tiny stages, drive rush, high damage.

Everything is about being able to access your opponent easily and/or kill quickly, and throw loops are just a part of that intentional creation by the developers.

Not saying I agree or disagree, I'm just saying if that's the case, then that could be why they didn't remove throw loops in the last patch. This could be their conscious design choice to keep the game as accessible as possible.

Maybe they see throw loops as something that's connected to a core part of how they want the game to function.
