Luck and whaling.
Buy max rice every day, dispatch to get Iron Ores. Bulk craft N Swords/Armors in batches of 1K, set them to +6, and dismantle. You now have 9k powders for 200k gold. Repeat this with macro for hours every day.
Besides that you whale on UREX banners, just to get UREXs to +6 and dismantle since they're good powders.
Rest is RNG. On average you can go millions of powders without landing a r23/24. But if you want to have a shot at Top100 or get multiple R23+ gears and don't want to rely on luck that is what you got to do.

I should add that things have improved for casual players recently. Many new extra powder sources have made R21 the new budget stopping point instead of R18 for (committed) F2P players. LV15 Fiend Clears and LV10 Guild Raids are becoming increasingly common. But this is also making the whales start complaining again since they are losing their prestige.

Anons, what gacha do you enjoy aside from BD2? I would like to check out something similar in terms of gameplay and routine (little time consuming, but very enjoyable to play when the time comes).

I love this game's story, I love the dialogue and banter between Gray, Lathel, Scheherazade, Justia in the story. I’m begging you not to genderbend every male character or erase male-female relationships just to please a tiny niche. Doing that turns real character in the cast into hollow dolls whose only job is orbiting the bland self-insert. They stop being characters and start being waitress in maid cafe, their actions will look like they're pandering rather than good writing.
When every romance must involve the protagonist, you kill character agency, interesting conflicts, and organic drama. Scenes get repetitive and fake. The world feels smaller because characters don’t live or love outside the player’s shadow.
Also, the players who only want to sexualize female characters almost never read the story. You’re making the narrative worse to serve people who weren’t going to engage with it anyway. That decision loses the players who do care about plot, characterization, and meaningful relationships.
If you want to appeal to that niche, fine, but don’t gut the story for them. Keep diverse, independent relationships between characters. New characters can be a doll to appeal to those players, but let the old cast have lives and loves that don’t always point to the protagonist. That’s what makes a gacha world feel alive and worth sticking around for.

Even when they take the spotlight in certain chapters, however they shouldn't be shipping them with anyone outside of pre-established relationships (husband and wife, king and queen, etc) when they are introduced.
