3rd anni will be a clusterfuck. Doesn't help that the anni patch releases with 2 chapters at the same time and we get a side story right before that. You can't even guess who will be the rollable nikkes until the side story I guess. Nayuta/Pinocchio seems improbable to me and even then, it misses someone.

I can still imagine a rehabilitation rework post 3rd anni is possible. Huge fights in the 4beast ark, we "defeated" them to reason with them and that's where the rehab rework begins.
Instead of a pokedex with a weird sounding ball to click as interface, you are in the devasted 4beast ark and get to chose who you are bonding with with a more "dating game" like interface. Then you get your daily mission shit with treshold for some story (like Nihilister) but voiced and completly different than the bond you get later. Once you get all of them to your side, you unlock some shit like a side story or skins. I don't think rehab is unsalvageable. Just make some efforts, dont release them with a garbage kit an try to monetize that shit better if that's your primary concern. At this rate we will get them in 2+ years and there is so more new pilgrim tier nikkes that will join the queue (Nayuta, Pino, Endless, Eternity in this patch only ffs). They need to do something.

You know, it was probably a mistake that we tailed Levi and Ziz onto Whaley. Now 3rd anni is going to be a jumbled mess on top of whaley that somehow all the big players know how to teleport to. 3rd anni is probably Cindy and the rest of the old tales squad finding Hansel and Gretel. It obviously isn't going to be anything involving SKK, so the beasts are out. Anis is going to be the NY overspec pretty much guaranteed. It might be some side story with Nayuta but that seems very unlikely for a character that only just showed up to get the 3d anni spot. Old tales 2 just makes the most sense since it's now a completely separate parallel story line, would have 2 pilgrims, and fits the whole "assemble" hint.
