ShB is probably my favorite expac overall, even the post quests. EW is pretty fun too, and has some of my favorite dungeons and trials. DT has some cool overworld locations but the story is a slog for most of it. A lot of the dungeons look really cool, but are torture to actually play. People who play extremes, unreals, or savages would probably grasp them easily, but people who just play normal or hard would probably be fucked over by the cheap difficulty spike.
The worst boss is the first one from the 7.1 carnival dungeon. He has mechanics that lock you in place, make dodging very difficult, and for a good bit of the battle attacking will be impossible if you don't know what to do. It was nerfed since I played months ago, I remember when it dropped team wipes were frequent.

the fucked up thing is even when she's gone, the quests all follow the same formats. they have for a while, but it's very naked and transparent in DT because the player isn't distracted by a story that's even a little engaging. you just arrive in a place, talk to 3 people who say nothing particularly interesting, and then report back to the main npc. then you repeat that shit X amount of times or maybe you investigate some sparkly shit on the ground while a bar fills up. repeat until you unlock a hallway dungeon.
