Dirtboost shouldn't be a deck that is allowed to exist. It is stupid that they can seamlessly combine both archetype to make a well functioning deck. Going forward, Rune will just keep on being a soup of the best cards from both archetype if no changes are made. Tempo are decks that gain advantage by landing a cheap threat and protecting it with removal and counter/protection spells until it wins.
Midrange are decks that play the most efficient card at each mana cost and can play more aggressively against Control, and more defensively against Aggro.
Since Shadowverse doesn't have interaction in the opponent's turn (because KMR is apparently offended by all the improvements Evolve made) there really isn't a Tempo deck.

Sword, Abyss, Pixie and Puppet are our midrange decks even if Puppet is playing subpar cards they all follow the speed up vs Control and slow down vs Aggro mindset.

The lines of Aggro and Control are also blurred if you come from Magic because Shadoba doesn't have a Blue Draw Go Control deck or a Red Burn Aggro deck. Control in Shadowverse is White creature-based control where your removal has legs and can threaten the opponent as early as turn 2. Aggro in Shadowverse is GR Zoo Aggro that plays cards over 3cmc often topping the curve at 5-6 with some big haste evasive beater for reach.

Tempo Forest is still very much a tempo archetype even if there isn't protection in the format. It all dates back to the days of Liza onto a 4 fairy board. You couldn't really call it aggro even in the current state because of how much it interacts, you couldn't call it midrange because the deck gets absolute shit for value.

Even without interaction on the opponent's turn IE tempo forest still wins off tempo in principle while eschewing value. It's not trying to race down face, and it's not trying to grind out the game. You're just disrupting the opponent while keeping the game under your own pace.

Unfortunately you can't quite make that a legal deck so they run a bunch of cheap creatures and pump spells to complement their burn package. This is not true. The way it worked was that you made it impossible for the enemy to win and then made sure they deck out a couple turns before you do by making sure you milled them a bit more often than yourself, so you would deterministically win if the game played out for 30+ turns. This is almost exactly how CBlood mirrors worked btw, though because it didn't have mill you had to limit your own draws instead.

They did, it's true, but it doesn't tell the whole story. Most cards were worse, but the good ones were game defining. There were very strong wincons that put the game on a timer. Dclimb kills on 10 and you can potentially pressure people out of their kill and force them to go longer than that while dshift usually killed on 8 and sometimes as fast at 5 at its prime. Then other decks would have to develop around that fact. WB for all its fault has really future proofed itself with its changes.

It's only marginally more fun to play than to play against.
Once you have around 100 wins it's going to be the most stale shit ever.
I actually started feeling like shit playing it because it just wins on its own.
Whenever you lose you can easily chalk it up to bricking or opponents having a god curve.

You can win through many more ways than just dshift satan too. I often would win board and just hitting face with 2/2s because of the bullshit level of removal tools available to you at zero cost.
Seriously if your opponent had a tiny bit of a low roll you can become the tempo deck going face into a 7/7 norman with 2 3/3 barriers for max despair.
If they had decent start you always out-value them starting turn 5 or go even with sword.
You can still either demondemon kuon for finisher or satan if all else fails.

Though fair warning once you play it every craft will seem like absolute dogshit in comparison. Like I played a 100 wins of sword after it and SWORD FELT SHIT compared to it like what? Lmao.
