Anyone else want to try it and see? Go to K'aresh, enter phase diving, port to the Tempest Fields, leave phase diving, then use your Dal hearth. That's the exact path I took.

K'aresh and the veiled market aren't in the shadowlands, The Shadowlands is a *physical location* in the twisting nether, just like K'aresh and Tazavesh.

The Shadowlands in a Soultrap built in netherspace to catch sould and prevent void entities and these "untethered" creatures from just endlessly feasting on the souls of the dead and gaining infinite power. It's a region of Netherspace the the "First ones" claimed and structured for their own purposes though the use of advanced Tech, Magic and the combination of the two. Creating the life and death cycle of the shadowlands to impose order on an utterly chaotic afterlife. Apparently it didnt really work out for them since they're nowhere to be found and we looted their tombs for purples. My guess is that whatever the Various leaders of the shadowlands say or claim to be what they really are is the still-running remnant of a long abandoned project built by dead gods. A leftover of a fallen empire.

Bonus points for this also means that the Arbitranny is not in fact some sort of ultimate god and soul judge but rather the administrator of a failed experiment, and xers word is not the end.

You can't move troops over Mount Hyjal and the northern sea is generally frozen over, sailing all the way around would have taken months and leave your troops open to shore attacks halfway through.

The undead are a unnatural force that nobody would accept, not even unga bunga orcs, and the Bloodelves would never stoop so low as to work with literal animals, even if they are on the brink of extinction. Then you have the Nightborn who are just as proud actively CHOOSE to ally themselves with stinking cowpeople. The only ones I could understand are Vulpera, but even they should have been neutral merchants like the goblins should have been instead.

I'm honestly not even sure Tauren and Trolls would have allied themselves with the orcs considering the whole "invader" thing.

Horde got a horde story alliance got an alliance story. Now we get a generic "follow the MCs" while they do non controversial generic "good guy" things.
