It's a fundamental flaw with 5v5. Tanks have to be balanced into raid bosses because melting the tank is a win condition no matter how you balance the game. That's just how solo tank works. The simplest and most forgiving tanks will always be the most rewarding in a solo tank format.

Anyway, my biggest problem with perks is that some of them are straight upgrade, while others are just an alternative, like orisa perk that change spin with shield. Not necessary better, just different. Other heroes tho they just get a bonus cd like rein major perk or reaper major perk. Seems unfair to me. Every perk should be an upgrade or giving more. Not just replacing a cd or having a drawback. Like ashe minor where she fire faster unscoped but does less damage. Thats not an upgrade if there are downside.

I have my own theory about the matchmaker and why people seem to get massive strings of losses for seemingly no reason and I like to call it "global stat based matchamking".

If you read the game's patch notes Blizzard always justifies buffs/nerfs based on whether or people are winning a lot with a hero. They're essentially trying to force 50/50 through the hero but sometimes that isn't enough so they do it via the matchmaker. My reasoning is as follows:

I try new heroes in waves. When I started playing Illari my winrate with her was 71% after my first 100 games. I wasn't on a new account. This is my same old account with the same old MMR. Then one weekend I got my worst loss-streak ever. My WR with Illari dropped to 59% and hasn't recoverd from there yet. Similar things have happened whenever I decide to pick up new heroes. Echo went from 68% to 52% in 2 days. Hazard went from 65% to 52% in a weekend. Sym went from 66% to 52% in a weekend. Brig went from 70% to 60% in a weekend.

Basically what I'm saying is you're not supposed to win too much on one hero and you will be thrown bad games to rectify winning too much on one hero after playing a fair amount of games with them. We already know they attempt to balance around winrate, I feel like trying to do fuckery based on your hero winrate is totally viable from a matchmaker perspective. Thoughts?
