Unironically, supports are generally shit in this game. This has to do with the way the battle system works and only features 3 chars.

Wonder is not allowed to be good at anything, so all he can do is "help out a little".
This means you need someone to sustain and someone to dps. As such a support would need to offer more than another DPS. This is incredibly unlikely with the support kits I've seen, unless you go heavy into dupes / the sig weapon, but you can do the same for DPS.

It feels all so.. weak. It'd be different if we had 4 chars to choose from in the front-row, or if there was a system in place like in Star Rail, where supports and DPS eat from the same "SP" pool and supports need simply less / regenerate them so your DPS can use them. But alas. Chord is literally worthless unless you have Makoto (nobody else has good enough highlights), but you'd replace Granny or a second DPS.. is that really worth it?

How much does the game improve compared to CN? Currently working my way through the second palace and desu, it's a bit of a snore. I don't mind the story, actually I like the implication that small evils can do great harm to the public psyche and trying to right them. But the base exploration is just really stale, and drags out with very little meat in between.

I do enjoy the characters and the combat itself. The card system feels needlessly obtuse though. Very little visual clarity and the UI is cluttered as hell

not really except from the weekly recollection bosses, the main way to get them is from weapon pulls also not sure if you knew this but when duping out a weapon you can dupe with a different 4 star every other dupe which is pretty cool and saves quite a lot if you have 4 star weapons for characters you dont like
but yeah 4 star weapons and gecko coins arent that common so id recommend being selective with who you want to have them and how many dupes you have
