Missile seems fine to me, I know it was nerfed at some point. the real buff is the radar screen. If just let the radar screen guide the missile, the hit rate is much better than trying to guide the missile in optically. launch around 8.5-9.5km and unless they're maneuvering as soon as they spawn, they're probably dead. At closer distances, the missile is so fast you can just guide it in yourself easily. Literally next game.

Material science is not yet advanced enough to make railguns useful since they can only shoot a couple dozens of rounds before the barrels starts to disassemble because of the immense pressures, also ROF is extremly low since even on nuclear reactor equipped ships we are talking about 1 shot per minute. The west simply "left it on the backburner" and developed actual useful shit like HELIOS (USA) or DRAGONFIRE LDEW(Italy&UK) that actually already works and proven to be a gamechanger in the current combat scenarios.

not really. aircraft based guns and land based guns have wholly different metrics and requirements and they're not really interchangeable.
you have to consider things like: how does the gun system feed, how much does the gun system weight, how does it operate?
Oerlikon GDF is an gas-operated gun, is there any reason to use such a system when you could design a gun around a better one (for a plane) like a rotating chamber or a multi-barrel gatling?
even if you get past that, whats the point of having a 35mm APHE for tank busting? even the 30mm GAU-8 with depleted uranium shells fails to kill anything harder then a light tank. just use a missile, as they do.

I forgot to ask. What would your 6.3 US lineup even be? 6.7 US is so scary with the super and jumbo pershings, with the M56 scorpion, and maybe a super hellcat if you're feeling fancy. Early cold war vehicles feel fine to fight using heavies to me because your APHE auto pens them and oneshots, whereas their heat is a little inconsistent in oneshotting you and APCR is a big gamble

I always find that IS-3+ players have 2brain cells so I can mostly dissect them with the long 88 by doing the whole cannon and tracks routine or if they're especially dumb, hit the IS-3s funny triangle on the hull, same with the IS-4s funny rectangle up front. Encountering a Jagdtiger in anything scares the living shit out of me, mostly because it's immune to APHE from the front basically if he covers the MG port

You can go for a cupola shot and sometimes the driver's port, but otherwise you HAVE to flank and shoot between the tracks. I haven't played Germany yet but I wouldn't be surprised if the IS-3's double-sloped hull side armor blocks the 88 as well.
