it's a bit outdated but essentially whenever you start any mission you have to know your goal, whether it's catching any number of fish, specific/collectible fish, lured fish, or mooched fish
unfortunately there is no fishing log and even if there was, it would probably be trash, so you have to use a resource to tell you what missions ask of you and figure the best method of getting points/hooks
though a-class missions are very rng and you will have to give it multiple attempts

I use Ally Bank which is online-only. Been using them since 2020. At the time I signed up they had 4.9% interest which was the highest at the time but now it's down to 3.5% on their savings. Their checking & savings used to be the same rate too but now checking is only 0.1%, however it costs nothing to move money from one to the other in the app so I just keep 95% of it in savings to get that 3.5% rolling. They used to have different rates based on your account balance which they reserve the right to go back to at any time but for a while now all balances get the same rate.

As long as you stay away from Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo etc all the household name banks when you'll find good deals because those big ones are scummy as hell. Find local credit unions instead if you want a cash alternative like I described. Most of them aren't gonna do fees because they want you to stay with them. The big ones just abuse their brand name and nickel & dime people because most people aren't taught financial literacy in high school(probably on purpose so they take out massive loans at age 17 not knowing what the fuck they just signed up, for).

That's why you typically save a good amount of what you earn to buy yourself either time or a course to study other things and work in an easier field. It effectively snowballs as a lot of office jobs typically have a few hours of actual work to do, and the rest of the time you just make yourself look busy. For me I'd either dick around or study something else. I understand the feeling of dread and anxiety, but for me I'd manage to feel better about it by thinking of what I wanted to spend my money on. I have an 832 credit score and 12 credit cards. I typically get a new one every 6 months.

Also, freeze your credit with all 3 bureaus. Congress required them to make it free to freeze and unfreeze and all 3 have a neat feature where you can unfreeze and schedule it to freeze again 3 days later so when you wanna run a credit check for a loan you do that and then it freezes again which prevents people who stole or bought your identity online from signing up for a new credit card and maxing it out without your knowledge until suddenly you're getting collections notices in the mail.

One final bit of advice, if you plan on staying in the area you're in, avoid permanent reasons like family deaths, just because you never know who you'll meet again. Probably a bit less relevant in big cities but it'd be one hell of a shit situation to find yourself interviewed by the same person for instance. I like the game and defend many of its aspects. However, a lot of FF14's flaws and its dev cycle have really come to a peak with DT so now it's biting them in the ass. I'll probably continue to enjoy the game for a long time since I like the formula, but if they want FF14 to regain popularity with more people they need to make some adjustments for the better. SE needs to stop being retarded with NFTs or whatever and YoshiP needs to push for a more efficient/different way of doing things so we can get more and better content. I'm slightly optimistic though. If WoW came back from BFA/Shadowlands, FF14 can come back from DT.
