Well, I have to say that I'm now attached to the Ethereals and Brokers thanks to this patch. When they were introduced in BC, I didn't like them because I found their poses and designs ridiculous, even cringe-worthy, and their lore/story was nothing special. With Legion and the arrival of the Void Elves, I started to take them more seriously, and they began to exist in my headcanon, but it wasn't quite right. Now that the Brokers are officially Ethereals, and since I loved the Brokers in Shadowlands, and since the designs of the non-Broker Ethereals have greatly improved, as has their lore, I really like them now.

Nah they were effectively nonexistent all of BfA, only relevant at the first few weeks (not even finishing all of season 1) in SL, and only really blew up for the first time in utter dominance for the second half of DF. Even TWW S1 had them split with Prot Pal after a while. Even the toolkit thing wasn't the primary relevant thing they had going on when they had a brief initial surge in SL and currently. DF was basically the main instance of DH being meta for enabling routes no other tank could (which isn't to say you don't see the utility kit being a big thing currently but it's not even the primary reason you're bringing VDH now).
