Don't really have anyone to use my skill resets on as I've only taken everyone except for Timeless' Ultimate up to 4 at this point.

This item expires, right? I think I might de-level my supports because I leveled up their basics and then pump their specials and ultimates back up to where they were. May as well minimax a bit since I have nothing else to use the resets on.

Some text indicate either an expansion of options in the castle and/or additional modes, as well as possible new account wide buffs.

I was funnily enough trying to see if characters with locked Journals had any content in the game already since there are screenshot previews of something that looks like Affinity Cutscene thumbnails in the game that don't actually get used. They also dont see, to match any scenes in the game at all.

She helps with widening the gap before BP deficit will make it impossible to progress but at the end of the day, BP still decides the rate of your progress. It's a waiting game, so wait. What TAiona does do is democratize grinding for gear since she obliterates any and every daily boss, you just need to push to CH16 and you're already grinding top tier gear if you have her.

I'm surprised it was the real Tris, and not Mass in disguise, for maximum Accapella breakdown. Especially given the earlier events in this chapter

I mean you can, but only up to a point. Pre TAiona I was tapping out at around 11-13k deficit on chapter 14/15. Now I've cleared up to around 21k. In percentage terms I'm getting up to ~25% deficit now when before I'd be lucky to go above 15%.

That's because 25% halves your stats making you both die so fast and dealing basically no damage (enemy's elite monsters has as much def as you attack, making you deal no damage)
The thing about Aiona, just as I was expecting. Her maxHP portion is not a subject to def formula, so even though her normal attack deal no fucking damage, her maxHP portion still does. Hilariously when you pair her with FBella this is enough damage to wipe the floor, you basically only need to survive before you get 8 blood souls and kill everything. On the story floors you, however, need at least one other teammate to stay alive to, so you can get enough energy for the second combo. But she still kills everything, which nobody else is physically capable of, since nobody else has maxHP scaling.

Is it worth only lvling Taiona to your current lvl cap? She gets a lot more BP the others, and her damage is generally the only thing that matters

When you reach 25% and 35% in hard, tanks get two tapped and just fucking die. You'd require chronometer to push that a bit further. She'd still kill the mobs if she had an opportunity, but the whole party dies before she can do anything. She can tank some mobs when she is in her ult, but your party still has to last long enough and that's where the problem comes from most of the time.

Yeah it assigns you randomly at the start as far as I can tell. I finished last season in the top 10, and spent most of the season ranked between 8 and 15 after starting in the 60s. Started this one randomly assigned to somewhere around 150. No matter how often you refresh, it doesn't show anyone too many spots ahead of you, so there's a hard limit to how far you can go per day (limit seems to be 40-50, less once you get to a high level where the rank bands are smaller and you can only jump something like two ranks at a time). Unless I pay for extra fights, to reach where I was before is gonna take days. I've seen other people who got fucked over even harder.

Having the initial distribution based on overall team BP would make way more sense, it'd be roughly accurate to where things will shake out, but reward smarter team comps and people who improve over the course of a season with wins.

Then everyone just takes the highest duellist they know they can beat as their first fight, and someone above them with a proper rank as their second. The natural order would be sorted out pretty fast.

Finished 3'rd last season because by the time the whales caught up to me, I'd already hogged a shitton of points from being #2 since I was put at like rank 10. Now I got shuffled to rank 200 and everyone around me is 200k BP. PvP is whale garbage, take what you can and ignore the rest.

It's not whale garbage, it's sort of the opposite but in a bad way. Case in point, you finished 3rd purely because of random luck in the starting distribution. Obviously the top 4 ranks or so (in terms of placement, not points gained overall) will generally be filled by whales towards the end of the season, but I was comfortably sitting in my group's top 10 for most of the season and I'm a F2P who started in the 60s.

Pushed to 15-3 today, which is when the deficit threshold became so large Bella just crumbled within seconds. Not too shabby. Story is getting a lot more interesting as well. Yet there's no voice acting. Such a shame.

Because you assume everything wrongly.
First of all, if it's only 7 strikes of 6k HP (that is actual damage of her maxHP portion when her attack is gimped by deficit) How the fuck does she kill millions of HP? It's probably triple strike each getting 4 additional hits, which results in 15 striker per normal and 15 maxHP. That is corellates with PvP expirienc where non-buffed Aiona destroys full party in mere seconds if she has full shield. It's probably 15 strikes, 15 maxHP and it seems like she deals a dozen of such volleys during her ult. When she is not gimped by BP deficit (boss fights) she deals at least several millions of damage in her ult, that is definitely not 7 strikes.

I need to correct myself a bit. Several millions while 4/5 of hits dealing only 25% of damage, because same target. So basically she gets 5 times the damage multiplied by base attack increase (which is not stated anywhere) in perfect AoE scenario and 1+.25*4 (double) multiplied by said base attack speed coefficient in single target.

I...what? It's 1 strike + 4 more strikes, totals to 5 strikes. Each strike is split into 3 hits, totals 5x3=15 hits. Each of these hits additionally deals 4% of the TARGET's max HP/hit, capped to a % of her ATK. After the first hit, bump everything down to 25% except the max HP part, as it states on her basics, vs one target. Somewhere in this calculation, bump it up by 50% because of her passive that will be almost always on at max range. That's it.

No. it deals 60% of her attack (but without def calculation, because maxHP cannot be measured against defense) So basically her strike has 75% attack (which is mitigated by def and thus deals no damage) and 60% attack that is not diminished by def. Half of her damage ignores target's def basically, so we can conclude that she can't be tanked by anything but insanely high damage reduction or outright invincibility. Defense doesn't work against her.

What's with the 50/50 love affair? In almost every game with it they move the pity limit higher to compensate and they also make the game rely on dupes to make your units worth anything. The hard pity is de facto only 90 rolls in a game that pours them out like water and dupes are a bonus, not a necessity (on top of having 4% for SSRs and 2% for URs).

You basically always keep 120 pulls and then do whatever. They might continue giving 30 refund for them or maybe not.
Non-ancestor units aren't important, unless they are specific tailor made supports the releasing ancestors, like FBella. Devs were nice enough to give both Dalcarlo and FBella for free (this units are very essential to gameplay).
This game is pretty generous. I regret pulling additional copies of Dalcarlo, but that was on me. It would be better to pull additional copy of TAiona obviously. Lamia and Lorelei were pretty obvious skipperinos. Still 110 pulls left, probably not going to touch them just in case.

Okay, I calculated that shit. To be able to complete this rotation in 59 seconds with 9 seconds of third Acapella's ult you require 3.3 levels of Acapella's ult higher than baseline 6. Hit 64k BP and finally beat 15-8, though actually because I switched out one of my main team for the provided Agares, team BP came out to more like 70k with him included.

Instantly and trivially wiped the new restless spirit, and the gear from 3 clears of that (with a few upgrades) instantly jumped me from 64k to 71k. God I wish I'd been able to kill this guy during the 2x rewards weekend. Too bad I started the game on day 13.

No way. Even at 15-7 subbing in Trial Noah for the BP bump, it was very hard. Think my total BP with him was a little under 70k so I still had the pain in the ass stat penalty. There is a 6K BP jump since that and I gained no significant BP other than T9 gear but none for either Bella or TAiona so does against the penalty.
The substages are way easier to clear even at those deep deficits and are only tricky when you have to fight the two front battles, and 15-8 is just RNG slot machine and hope the boss targets Trial Agares so TAiona can DPS down the sword every cycle until it dies.

If you can get past 15-5 and 15-7, you will clear 15-8 without further level or gear investment. Once you clear 15-8, you dont have to push aggressively anymore, just farm RS2 every day.

Not that anon, but that's a little higher than my best team BP was when I beat 15-8. I can't say how it'd stack up against 16-1 though, because bullying the equipment boss 15-8 unlocks instantly catapulted me into the low 70s.

30% is a bit high, at least for main stages (x-y rather than x-y-z battles which are always easier than BP would suggest) where you aren't given a trial vassal by the game, but not impossible. For instance 15-5 I cleared at a deficit just under 25k BP, which is roughly 28-29% or so. That took some luck and pretty careful positioning+play — not sure where the line is between the braindead ez zone and the "you gotta tryhard a bit" zone, probably somewhere in the mid 20%s.

When I looked at other people's clear teams, there were consistently a couple one or two thousand BP below mine, so 30% is possible. But I suspect those people had more dupes, or more intelligently prioritized skills/artifacts compared to me. I had one TAiona dupe (nobody on my main team has more than one dupe), so I can't speak for what's doable with more dupes or fewer, or for skills above or below rank 5.

TL;DR is based on my experience in chapter 15 main missions (NOT the 15-x-y ones or the ones they give you a unit to use), for a TAiona+FBella+Acapella+Bella+SAiona team in the hands of someone without many dupes, and most skills leveled to 4/5, I'd say the bands are:
>Under 22% deficit
braindead zone, a monkey could do this
>22-24% deficit
you could fuck this up if you aren't thinking or timing your ults right
>24-28% deficit
Tryhard zone. Play on 1x, plan a bit, don't blow your blood soul load instantly every time
>29-30% deficit
Tryhard + well optimized skills/artifacts zone.

Probably full of shit zone, unless the game isn't showing me the actual lowest BP clears when I look at them ingame.

For me 15-5 had me stuck for about half a day after breezing through the earlier fights, then 15-6 and 15-7 were a breeze, but 15-8 had me stuck for a couple days until I pumped BP up. You only see the ones in your local server, it would be nice if we got a full region or global list.
Here are the lowest clears I see for 16-1 in Low to High filter. Not a single clear in the full list is without TAiona, and at a point the list stops showing clears unless you switch it to Filter High To Low, with the lowest clear in that list being VH FBella at 91006 BP, and I assume it can be lower.

Yea I was stuck on 15-5 for a while until I bumped my BP a little past what the 3 low clears on my list were. 15-6 I had to switch to from Pavana to Lorelei and bump my BP a bit more for the long sleep and to stun the guitar enchanter and from there it was easy. 15-7 took me half of a day straight of brute forcing until TAiona decided she wasnt going to aggro the burrowed moles and actually kill the active ones and the reinforcement wave that spawns behind you. I think 15-8 took me an hour and half of fishing the RNG before I got a run where only my SAiona died and Agares was the lighting attack target so TAiona had a clean run to melt the boss.

What I want is fixed/better summon supports because that's my "shitter" team in pvp and what I used on all the pre tiaona chapters. cecia is actually pretty great, makes bella and trancendant noah more OP but piera doesn't do it to fill out the loadout. tnoah is arguably "better" than helsing already, just harder to get, but neither team works without survivability for enough summons/turncount to turn on so gets punished by the deficit and die around the 15% mark.

A summoner healer is also needed. Maybe with a mechanic like turning it's own/field summons into health or shielding. Or damage transferrence with an overdamage window. Solves that survivability problem and could be a conciliation setup for those who didn't pull fbella

They're only irrelevant in the sense that nowadays anyone who isn't Bella, FBella, Acapella, SAiona, TAiona, or Lorelei is irrelevant or at best a slightly inferior substitute in 99% of gameplay (1 Bloodborn, 1 Church, 1 Ancestor, 3 Kingdom. Kingdomchads rule this game I guess). For most of the game's content, the only real strategy is "keep TAiona and FBella alive long enough to ult once or twice", and on a tactical level it just comes down to positioning those characters and choosing between healing or putting enemies to sleep. Sure you can use THati, VH, Seth, TAmi, whatever, but they're rarely optimal. There's a reason the lowest BP clears of basically every story mission are the characters I listed.

Get Acapella with your selector, then try to get Sirene after the next Clan Hunt. Then use Seth/St Aiona and then Bella (you'll get her for free eventually). Your roster is pretty stacked so far.

Remember this game plays like Nikke where you unlock 'Transfusion' and any character put into transfusion automatically gets set to the level of your 5 highest levelled characters that aren't in Transfusion.

Because your SR characters are probably all maxed out by now (2 siphon max for SR) their max level is 160. Meanwhile at 0 Siphons, your characters have a max level of 80 (and 160 at 2 siphons). Before you get 4 more SSRs with 2 siphons for the level 160 max (since your SAiona has 4), you should level 4 SRs + SAiona and put the SSRs you normally use in transfusion. You can always reset/refund levels down the line, it only costs 10 moon tears.

Highest you can go with DoTs is 500% + 300% + 300% each two seconds. That is 550% per second but the stats are going all other the place.
It looked fine pre Aiona, but now... Aiona fires 5 hits each 405% which scales from her stats only, I don't know how much it deals in single target exactly but it's at least 810% per normal hit. It receives normal attack boost and scale with attack speed. Even if you somehow managed to realistically keep all the DoTs on 10 stacks, DoT teams will still be inferior because they cannot abuse stacking buffs.
Unless they release new super broken DoT, DoT teams cannot even compete in pure numbers let alone practicality.
