After playing with and against this deck enough times, it's pretty easy to stop(because stigo is an obvious chokepoint) and is prone to bricking. more than half the time if the normal summon or misc gets negated, it just instantly losses because there's no plan B. You have to pray that you win the coin toss to opens first and have access to stigo.

The real problem facing (us) as a society is the lack of separation from "competitive" and ((casual)) audiences.
You've got fake compfags losing to Dinos and then you've got fake casuals playing Maliss because they think the girls are pretty. Shit's all out of wack.

That's not quite the same situation because thanks to misc if you don't have specifically a card that can stop the combo without interacting with on-field monsters, you lose. Whereas with other decks you may still be able to do something even if you don't have the one card that fully shuts down the deck. Like maliss, you could open lancea and auto-win. Or you could also open multiple other handtraps and win because of that.
Regardless the entire point I'm trying to make is that losing to this is not indicative of player skill. It's very juvenile to say things like "you deserve to lose" or like this other guy I see a few posts down saying "fake compfags". If this were a deck with no floodgate style protection then perhaps I could agree but it's not. Your possible options are shrunk down so significantly through misc that the game state literally becomes "have 1 of like 3 specific cards in hand or you lose" and I just fail to see how anyone could rationally look at someone losing because of that and say "yeah that was on you, mate".

Yeah, If the deck is built optimally, it performs pretty well in the synchro cup. I used the 3x ground xeno and fossil dig but whenever I lost the coin toss, i knew the game was over when my opponent could make more than 1 interuption(which centurion/red dragon archfiend, white forest etc. can all do with ease).

Got this and penguin brave in the synchro legacy packs. I think the penguin card look neat but theyre clearly too slow for today's game. I would like to try this one is any deck I have that has space for a field spell but I think this card defeats the purpose because if your opponent has even half a board, it's very unlikely that they make you resolve this thing

This card is almost good enough to consider maybe using. It's like a -1 pot of prosperity for going second decks that leaves you with a card on the field you can maybe do something with. The end phase effect will never work of course. If they waste an interaction on it then fine, that's not the worst thing but a lot of players would likely let its first effect resolve since it's a -1.

This card is great, not enough for Swordsoul in the current meta, but it does fix one of the glaring issues of the deck.

If it gets new support from the new Branded anime run, it might return to being meta, it's a pretty solid Wyrm pile that bridges Tenyi and Yang Zing really well right now. It just needs a single card and maybe a new ED monster to really push it over the edge.

Even when Nib resolves it rarely has the same impact as Maxx C. Many decks can power through a Nib thanks to the value they generate in their first 4 summons, now having their GY loaded up, their searched backrow, etc.
So no, if Nibiru resolves it does not accomplish the same thing.
Even IF both do end the opponent's turn, it's still not the same as Maxx C can get you at least 1 draw even if they completely stop.

It's more true that the threat of Nib can force people to play in the same way Maxx C does when it resolves by setting up a half board to not do too many summons than it is that Nib resolving is like resolving Maxx C.

I'm a retard who started 3 months ago, I'm just stating what I thought after playing Maliss for 1 month. I very rarely needed it outside of opening with it and Rabbit which allow me to set something else and have both MTP and GWC on the opponent turn. Its very good since you can revive Dormouse instead of Rabbit which offer more protection against Ryzeal. But thats a big trade off, one small protection for a spot in the deck. No Ghoti player actually plays the trap, trust me. its incredibly hard to actually pull off, even if you're going first, because you have to focus your initial banishes to get the cards you need in rotation, any other fish in the GY acts like extra gas for the combo, but once it's gone, it's gone and banishing your extra gas for a trap effect is never worth it, even if it just cheats out Ghoti. Marincess Sea Anemone insulates the White Aura engine from imperm and acts as an extender that also can clear the field of 2 monsters in case you have all 3 ghoti 2s in rotation. Aside from balancing the game properly, there's a lot of changes Konami needs to make.
For instance, they need to incentivise longer duels. In master duel that can be done by cutting off rewards for both players if the round ends before the third turn and giving 5 gems for every turn past 3 the round goes on. In paper format they could restrict battle until the 5th turn, with search and draw effects only allowed after the 8th or 9th turn.
