Lightning Spear is my one of my fave incantations and I gotta say, having 3 of these dragon cult boosts feels so good. I dunno math, but it's gotta be like 35-40% increase in damage. It goes from 383 to 535 when fully charged. Uncharged hits for 350ish which is basically like you're doing quick full charged Lightning Spears with no buffs.

Someone redpill me on twinblades.
I'm 3 hours into a new character and I do the thing I usually do which is go to Leanna's Rise and farm the balls for about an hour while listening to a podcast just to get some stat points to put into whatever it is I want to do with this character to "start feeling it" early.
For example, I'll get to either 33 or 40 vig just to get it out of the way and then the rest of the points into my main stat.
Anyway, this time I started as warrior, went from 16 dex to 32 and I have to smack godrick's soldiers 3 times with R1's to kill them... With a +1 Twinblade.
I equipped the Lordsworn's Greatsword just to swing it and yes it's slower, but not really knowing that the hits will stagger and cause more stance buildup.

Help me out here. I just wanted to roleplay as Serge from Chrono Cross.

Twinblades work well with both damage and status.
Skills that buff them like sacred Blade, Flaming Strike or chilling Mist are very good.
Combo gear like prosthesis work well.
2h talisman is a must have if you aren't dual wielding.
The DLC has really good twinblades if you're using a FTH build.

God, I hate this dogshit boss so much, mostly because you're forced to take damage, and it's even more cancerous without the mountaintop buffs. With every other boss you can still solo it if your team is getting downed often and clutch a win, but with this boss you're guaranteed to get chipped down eventually, unless it has piss all health left. We only won because we had a wending grace. The boss is entirely doable until he starts freezing the whole arena and not only that but it also lowers your resist to frost when it does proc (guaranteed to happen even with a lot of frost resist buffs) so you're more likely to get frozen next time. What the fuck were they thinking? I give up on this pile of shit and just putting on frost resist relics, maybe those will help.

I started a new save file, played a few rounds with Guardian, and I quickly remembered that playing as Guardian without relics feels like running a marathon with a broken kneecap. No wonder people drop him so quickly after playing as him for a bit, the poor bird needs a fucking buff yesterday.

Girls are generally pretty good cause they play very cautiously, when you drop them gear they look at you, judging and do not pick it up, lot's of wins

Performance and connections are awful since the patch. Caligo fight and some spells like rancorcall tank framerates.

And I'm so tired of randoms standing in Caligo's death fog and going 3bars before she reaches half HP.

Sometimes it's important to consider if you should drop items for teammates. I got yesterday Scarlet Aeonia as Wylder as level 2. Opened bossfights with it and it worked well, rotted and damaged nicely even as Wylder. After a while I dropped it for Revenant for her to use it only ONCE whole game. Made me reconsider my actions.

NTA but here's some more advice with Rivers of Blood, if you have restore FP on successive hits, only do the first two Corpse Piler attacks. The first one hits 2 times while the second attack hits 3 times. The third and final attack of Corpse Piler only hits 1 time so using it is a waste of FP.
