Do a stage and when they come in put everyone in cover and watch them so you can observe what I'm about to tell you. When they fly in they're invincible. They stop somewhere and flash red a few times. Right after flashing red, you can hit them with 1 instance of damage, bullet, skill, etc. After that if they're not dead then they turn invincible again and shoot you for a bit until stopping and becoming vulnerable again. The idea is to hit them with something does a lot of damage in 1 shot like a charged sniper or rocket launcher. Since distributed damage ignores their invincibility, you can also use that to hit them any time (SBS).

If you do not hit them with any damage at all after about 3-5 seconds, they will instead try to suicide into you. This can be a good way to kill them as well if you know how to dodge and can actually find a way not to shoot them.

Some abilities that randomly target or do damage in some way also trigger them, like Siren's water attack, Mihara's chains, DWife's burst, etc. which can be very annoying and you have to try and play around them if you want to use them.
