I find I'm always broke with Beasts if I don't use the extra money settlement choice (the one where it's herdstone, raze + heal (?), and raze + advance). I recommend picking the extra money one a lot more, it makes a massive difference and the extra healing (again I think it was) for a lot less money is rarely worth it.

Depend on what you're doomstacking/what your're fighting against, a doomstack of dinos is really fun to play, the same stack of dinos is also easy to fight against because anti-large just shred them.
On the other hand a doomstack of dragons require specific counter because they will roast you before that anti-large even come to play, but on at the same time a stack of Chosen is also a borderline doomstack, except this is how WoC are mean to be played and it's a pain to fight against as well. What about the entire stack of Streltsi? I use it as Kislev because it just works against chaos nigger and that's the only good hybrid unit Kislev have.
I think a lot of issues with doomstacks would disappear if the red line gave units generic stats like +2/4/6 MA/MD, +10/20/30 armor, +6/12/16 AP dmg or +8/16/24 Anti-large/infantry, this way weaker units would get more mileage from that and you could cover the weakness of your army. Naturally it would be better if red skills unlocked scrap like upgrades for your units but that would be too many charlemagnes.

Maybe next time they would announce and hype a DLC an entire year before actually releasing it. Its just a fucking lord pack.

When playing as Elspeth/Karl, taking out the vampires quickly is a priority, because they really do just get endless stacks from very little territory. The good part is, I find that once you endure the first few really tough more defensively oriented battles, they're actually kind of pushovers and you take them down very easily. Despite their fast raising, once you get them to fight within their own territory, they stop being able to raise enough threatening units without access to the big battle markers, and dealing with zombie/skelly spam is easy. Really the annoying part is just killing Vlad and the other vampires every fucking turn.

Vamps are easy to deal with as Elspeth if you can siege them like you are doing now. Their province capital siege maps are super easy to assault if you attack the gate that doesn't have any towers, what you do is just blast everybody you can with the helstorm and blow open the walls with the cannon, then slowly creep in with your guns and shoot anything in range to pieces. Also remember to restock the artillery and don't go in with the guns until they are out of ammo.

Yeah, that kinda what I meant by CA poorly planning it. Old Teclis felt hard, but it felt like a real campaign. Surrounded by enemies and in a pretty difficult continent to hold safely, but Teclis was strong enough that you had the tools to survive and eventually thrive. It was the challenge campaign for the helves to Tyrion's easy as piss one.

Then CA shifted LLs around again in IE and placed Teclis in his current start position and it's beena fucking catastrophe since because you have to take down Kairos in red attrition-causing territory first thing of all, and then turn around and fight a snowballing Wurrzag.

Teclis has to deal with Kairos and Alith is like playing Eshin where you want to spam armies of skirmishers, so they're probably the worst first picks.
Tyrion is the "learning to play Helves" lord but since you find him too easy you probably won't find Alarielle engaging either.
That leaves Imrik and Eltharion. I'd go Imrik since Eltharion has more campaign mechanics and special units that aren't really representative of the base race, while Imrik just gets some unique dragons.

You can go ANYWHERE. I took out Skrag, then most of Aranessa (she moved in towards Khemri with her ally Arkhan) but took all of the East/Western border princes lands etc. Then wiped out Ikit, All the while Elspeth moved South from Vlad, I had armies move North. Helped wipe out Azhag, then eventually wiped out Throt, some Norscans, and Azazel, while constantly repelling other Chaos pricks like Archaon had some land in Norsca, and Arbaal getting worked on.

Manage to save and ally with Katarina, barely made it to Morgiana. And up north Malakai was down to one settlement for a long time (bullshit Dawi garrisons/AR strength saved him I guess) and he's building back. And of course I refuse to confederate with Franz, I like to keep ~half of my side of Empire and let him take his. This picture is only turn 75.

I also have an army that took over Karaz-a-Karak from Skarsnik who is kinda weak now and hoping the three (3) nearby Dawi LL will finish him off but they sure are slow about it.

Some of you really talk a lot whilst clearly not playing the game at all. Most of the time I don't bother with these frequently occurring non-playing posters, but considering this is my current campaign and I've played Elspeth many times, it's an easy rebuttal.

No but you should have a couple of ratlings to slow them down and jezzails to hit them before they even reach you as currently your ranged army is very short ranged, also either commit to having a solid frontline with storm vermin/ more clanrats or commit to a full ranged army.
I usually go for:
1 Engineer lord
1 Engineer Hero
4 warpfire throwers to act as a "frontline" (If they ever reach one of my weapon teams I rather it'd be this one as they get more armor and still have good range)
4 mortars to act as artillery
3 ratling guns
3 jezzails
2 warplightning cannons
2 hellpit abominations
Don't go for a full ranged army if you aren't playing Skyre, play to your faction's strengths.

four weapon teams is bordering on overkill, especially if you have artillery and other ranged units to manage. try making this into two seperate armies, composed of the following:

1x lord
2x hero
2x deathglobes
2x warpfire
2x slave slingers
4x clanrat spears
3x skavenslaves
2x rat ogre
2x artillery

front line is slave infantry, midline is clanrats. globes and warpfire sit in front of clanrats and fall back once the slaves break. slave slingers serve as backline ablative armor to get in the way of flanking units and to soak ranged fire. rat ogres are defensive linebackers, there to stop break thrus.

lord is whatever, but id take a warlord so he can eventually get a brood horror to ride around on so he can form a brute pile with the rat ogres. take a packmaster hero then so they all get extra regen as well. plague priests are a good hero choice to spam summons with this lineup as well.

For a lot of languages, Atilla has much more natural accent than Attila.
