I just hope the conclusion to Justia's arc won't be rushed, but it'll most likely be, I don't think they can beat Storas in one chapter in a satisfying way seeing as the last few chapters were asspulls after asspulls. I think this arc is very stretched, but at that point they should give it proper time to finish up, maybe a few more packs. I don't think they should move away from the cast just yet, they kept giving Justia and Lathel asspulls, but Gray and Schera are just...existing, we barely explored them, yes Schera was adopted to a renown noble house, yes Gray is da king and had a cool ring that was dispersing evil power or some shit, but that's about it, nothing changed in regards to them, except maybe them being slightly more experienced. Most changes we saw were in early chapters.

As for the pvp question, unless you're a day 1 huge spender, you'll get nowhere. It's quick enough on the dailies and there's a pvp shop with some good stuff in it. /bd2g/ has guilds, new player friendly and more competitive guilds.The game is generous, less so than way back, but it's still good for f2p. If you decide to give it a go, Celia is your target on the starting reroll. She's by far the best on that lineup.

It takes a few weeks to finish all packs, maybe 1-2 months to finish character packs on very hard(prob faster with today's handouts), as for towers, isn't it all about crit fishing? Mine are like 45/50 and 140/150, despite me clearing GR FH and shieeet, I just don't wanna bother with crit fishing content there, that will never go away.
I don't think the game lacks content though, but I wish there was more to do during the dead weeks, but then again, months later I'd probably complain to myself that "I have to do the thing again"

PGR and ZZZ are different games from this one, if you notice 3D games follow a certain schedule and 2D games follow a certain schedule too, like most 2D gachas I played had a 2 week schedule, while most 3D gachas I played had 6 week schedule. At this point I've completely checked out from the game except for maintenance and if they don't fix the daily grind soon I'll probably start skipping that.
It's way past time Goblin and Slime stopped alternating days when nobody uses slime anymore and they won't add more levels to give slime a purpose. You can't sell slime for gold. Hitting the hunting ground every day is also stupid. That mission should just be changed to "spend rice".
I've written some of these in my own surveys but at this point I think they want the older players to get bored and burn out.
There is no problem with 2d gameplay indies are making great 2d games all the time. The problem is gamefsn or whatever the company is called is just poorly managed. That's why this will always be a second rate game. I'm honestly surprised so many people here like the first 8 SP's so much. For me it was extremely generic and just felt like a mishmash of idea's from better jrpg's with worse execution. I think the one that I see people complain about all the time is the weapon banners' pity. For the first month, I believe, the weapon banner bity reset on 5* drops, not on UR drops. Then the devs did a survey asking about the weapon pity (iirc it was because the game didn't start with a permanent weapon banner) and people complained saying they didn't like getting a 5* pity drop only for it to be SR and would prefer to get a guaranteed UR rather than a guaranteed 5*. So now we just basically don't have a weapon pity at all lmao.

Frankly? It wasn't really a doomerhive. The biggest drama the game faced was the perception that it was cuckshit. Not even in the current chinkish way but like just Gray in general.
I think the number one criticism was that most of the 5* costumes didn't have cutscenes. Pretty sure it was only the main 4 party characters and a few BD1 imports. Off the top, Rubia, Sylvia, Liatris, Rafina, Celia, Elise, Lecliss, Anastasia, and yeah like legit everyone else all had zero cutscenes. Even the main characters were cucked like professor schera didn't have a scene despite being a launch costume.
The player dropoff was typical and expected. It didn't get bad for a few months. The first piece of content they dropped post-launch was the entire Exodus side story pack iirc. Then summer knight dropped, and I'm pretty sure it was a bit after that before celia/eclipse bunnies that it got bad.
Part of why it wasn't super doom and gloom was unironically wiggleposting. It let us get away with lots of page 9 bumping lol.

Olivier is the strongest, even when stages do t favor her she will likely perform average rather than be useless which is a deal breaker for characters like Michaela that also hold roughly the same pattern. This is simply due to the difference in scaling. You can make Olivier hit really fucking hard even on a single tile, you can’t do the same for Michaela. That said Michaela isn’t even weak, she’s already a decent contender and is still 2nd place in light damage this FH, however you don’t wanna invest in 2 magic light dps with similar patterns this early on.

For physical, Pigstia is the most cost effective for newgluttis. Ventana and Yuri are the strongest once you reach end game, but that doesn’t change how valuable Pigstia is. But nobody can replace Olivier. She’s Nebris levels of power creep, and Nebris is still the queen of her domain to this day.

Farm story packs for resources. Eventually you'll be able to craft UR gear. Story packs 7,8,9 are good for materials.

Celia, Refi, Olstein, Diana, Lathel/Zenith and Liberta all have overworld abilities you want to invest in. They make getting materials far easier and less time consuming. Focus on Olstein and Diana's first.

No debuffs. If they did, I'm sure the 4 billion top score would be nearer 10 billion. Zenith won't work for Ventana either. Bunny Celia doesn't work for Celia. Bride Refi, Office Nebris, Vengeance Lathel, both Luvencia, Onsen Liberta and Medical Teresse are all mandatory for good scores. Chains make all the difference.
