I've played some flex recently because I reconnected with a friend group I used to hang out with a few years back and flex is what they play unless they're 4 and as a result can't queue this mode so they fall back to normals.
There's a noticeable improvement in match quality when your games are no longer littered with drooling handlevelers attack moving down sidelane no matter the game state because they just wanna be done with the leveling, as well as retards who can't stop themselves from typing "nigger" or going disco nunu so they're now serving their ranked restriction sentence.
I expected the queue times to get long but apparently we're not the only ones with the idea above so the queue times are comparable if not shorter than our normals.
Flex rank easily surpasses soloq rank though and it will then display in profile instead of your soloq rank. I wish there was a choice to override this and show soloq rank anyway even when it's lower - or display one alongside the other. You can't see other peoples' honor level anyway.

i used to but it didn't make me feel anything which to be very honest was a peculiar feeling back then since the games would load and there would be like only one or two people with skins on their champ and that was only because they were otps with it or had to show off some legacy season 2 content so if you got a skin people would complement you or the thing itself would feel special in a way but even then it didn't do much for me
on top of the costs for skins going high and the quality of it being a huge hit or miss on a very very old game it really doesn't feel justified to pay for it's content, i also don't like how blatantly rigged the cosmetics are in a way with the gatchas or paywalling
