Serena's 4 buff being the most powerful weapon buff by a factor of 3 is bad enough but that on top of her having the highest passive damage bonus and her soar being a swiss army knife of gun buffs as well is pretty dumb. Also flying, constant health regen, ammo regen, and the fact that the only thing stopping her from being the greatest support in the game is that she did so she would only be the 2nd most damaging gunscendant (which is a gigantic power gap).

This. Ult Freyna was beginning of this whole insanity.
They refused nerf her even though everyone knew this shit was a problem. Then what did the devs do? Double down and release fucking Ines, who is even more broken than Ult Freyna.
Then they realized that every other descendant was absolute ass compared to them and literally no one played anything else so they brought weapon cores to try to make gun descendants less obsolete. The devs, incompetent as they are, didn't realize how fucking broken the system was, but players sure as shit did and that's how we got to this retarded RR/TLD meta. Now the game was complete fucking mess and they decided that this was right time to release Serena, give her absolutely insane kit and damage output.
And then we got to the situation we are currently in, where the balance is non-existent and few descendants dominates the entire content while others are complete hot garbage and shouldn't even be in same tier list and same goes with weapons.
Speaking of weapons, there's literally no point using anything other than Serena and the same few weapons, because the balance is so out of control. The gooks let this happen and they are too incompetent to fix this and the playerbase is so fucking retarded that they actually prefer the game to be broken and threaten the devs if they dare to even think about touching their overpowered characters.
Now this is just my opinion, but if you ignore all quality of life improvements, I think the game peaked somwhere around pre-nerf Gluttony.

My biggest issue with Axion, and Sigma too, is that the maps are so dreadfully dull. Sigma is basically Agna Desert with some tweaks here and there while Axion is just a grey, boring, wasteland. The fucking base zones (Kingston, Hagios, Fortress, etc.) all have distinct visual identities and things to make them as unique as they can get in this game. There's no creativity or anything with these new maps and it makes traversing them feel like a chore, rather than exploring an interesting new zone.

I do think it could be something like Monster Hunter's end screen, where each player gets some kind of "useless" award like Rescued 3 downed allies, 80% headshot accuracy, 3 colossus parts broken, 10 buffs applied something along those lines.
