Its been a rough few patches. I play both games because I'm not a tribalist and like variety in my games, but xiv is in a terrible state atm. Square Enix shareholders have been complaining big time and XIV has been hemorrhaging players. The biggest complaint is that they're not recycling the money back into the game, they're funneling it into failing side projects. Beyond that job design is extremely boring and there's still nothing to do at endgame besides housing. There's still no M+ equivalent, no Delves equivalent, nothing besides raiding (which there is very little content of as well).
