As Mag you shoot the nearest squishy and block stuff/bubble someone important doing something useful
As Strange you're a bus driver for your portal, you can episodically brap over people and your shield isn't that healthy but you can block enemy healing or sometimes fly up. Your shot is actually not bad but it's a projectile. Don't forget to cancel with melee/shield. Also if you ult you want to have a nearly full dark magic bar but don't sit on it too long because of the anti heal.
As Groot you block line of sight and if you have Mantis you hide your healing wall somewhere
As Emma you're a bully, like if Strange could do something. Pump out damage, grab someone out of position, use your crystal to burst someone (it does percent damage when it breaks)
As Venom you are supposed to dive
As Cap your should be bullying people left and right. Know each health pack position and steal them. Shield can reflect many things but be mindful of it
Always run.
As Hulk it's kind of the same but you have a godlike stun, you can kidnap fliers and your bubble can be used to stop big moves, let you survive or even bodyblock healing. Huge ult too but you have to learn how to juggle people.
As Peni you're cancer on defense.
As Thor you're burst damage incarnate. Duel anyone that's out of position, peel, get in get out but don't dive you can't do it.
As Thing you're basically an easier Hulk and you can peel a BP if you can land your earthbound. Also fairly resilient (spam right click) but not a diver on his own. Huge ult if it lands.

Use cover, always. Your healer cannot save you from 5 people pumping damage into your fat ass. You are supposed to help things move not just push 50 meters in front of your team and out of sight.

Ever played a fighting game before? If so it is just threat ranges. Your team have a zone of contest space, enemy team does the same. What is not taking is neutral. Your primary job is to make space, the question is how? Answer is it depends. Sometimes harassing the backline from afar, and hugging the cover given to you with mag is the answer. Sometimes having the threat of Diamond form, to push back tanks, and to punish bad positioning with Emma, is a solution. Sometimes jumping in the middle of the backline, forcing chaos and making it hard for the healers to do their job, hoping the team falls in of itself is the solution. Sometimes it is recognizing that is happening to you, and whether or not it is worth trading or not trading depending on how good your team/their team is without strategist. Sometimes it is using the ult cycle to your advantage, forcing certain situations to happen, to make the next fight easier. But I will say this, pick one tank, and stick with them for a while. Even a suboptimal pick will teach you much more about the feel for the flow in game, than anything else. For example the cap juggle barely got discovered a few weeks ago, and we have been playing the game for months. Only a handful of shield players know you can block thing ult etc.

Yes, the only true way to win is to complete the objective. I've won games where the other team had way more kills and less deaths but lost because someone was likely too focused on kills and not staying on the objective or didn't push with Vanguard when they should have. A lot of Vanguards are Melee-focused so have move sets that don't allow them to get multiple kills in a short amount of time like Duelists with their dopamine rush inducing Ults like Moon Knights where you can rack up a lot of kills. This also means that Vanguards rarely get MVP unless their team coordinates with them well or they are just cracked out of their minds. It's rare to see a Vanguard player get 30 support kills but you see Duelists players get that every other game or so.

That's basically it. "Simple Swing" lets you bind a separate key bind for automatic swing so you can do both. Automatic swing is way, WAY faster at canceling things for spidey, among other things. It lets you do stuff like instant overheads which is how I start that combo on luna. It also instantly displaces spiderman depending on how long you hold the button. If I approached her on the same elevation as her you can hold it for a few miliseconds longer to basically teleport behind your target after using GOH. You just have to be prepared for it because it's very easy to fuck up your timing and now you're guessing whether or not you have to 180 flick to hit your target.

However, automatic swing does cancel way faster than manual but it will always spend a swing. Whereas manual swing won't if you whiff it into the air or save it by canceling into uppercut/pull/tracer. So you're trading resources for faster combos. It actually allows spidey to kill pretty fast with the torch team up thanks to it. You just have to hit 8 inputs in 0.6 seconds with almost frame perfect timing. Totally doable :^)

You could macro it but the timing changes based on how fast spidey is moving and how close he is to his target. It's not really something people will do even if they macro it. games hinge on supports and support ults, you have to play around the supports ulting, half the supports are dogshit compared to the "main" supports that have a designated immortality field ult, serious changes to the role as a whole need to happen

I put in like 10 hours in QP before taking him to ranked at all and now I'm in Diamond/GM lobbies and doing good enough. The number one tip I can give to any aspiring Bladefags is that your block is not for keeping you alive. It will let you take ults and that is important in certain situations, but it's also worth remembering survival doesn't mean shit if your team is wiped. It is absolutely not going to save you from just regular ass left click damage though. The number one function of the block is to feed you more dashes. Learn the matchups and just catch damage to fling it back at them. Even when you are in a Luna ult and are not worried about damage, block and get dashes

Oh fuck that's me. There's a handful of characters I want to play but I don't bring them into ranked unless I'm confident with them, usually around the Centurion mark. Grinding quickplay just lets me learn the techs and counters and such without digging through a bunch of awful streamer videos. Also some characters are god-tier in QP but shit in ranked. Jeff is one of the fastest lords now but I don't bring him into ranked.
Only one I'm actually "farming" is Venom because I've been a Venom fan for 20 years now but his kit is trash on solo queue when you don't have someone damage boosting you. I just bring him into bot lobbies or lobbies where someone is throwing and grind there. Would never bring him into ranked at my skill level.
