its a little awkward at first because its like controlling two characters at once

i didnt get to see too much of your games but i think you "fight" a little too much on her, ik thats what she excels at but her approach is so simplistic that the true skill of using annie is creating situations where you can take advantage of her limited but unusually powerful combat skills
and you do this by setting up map control which you do through wave control and back/roam timings because thats how you create weaknesses on the map and also take down towers to open up your domain of influence

They never really have on sona, either she was too poor to afford it or too squishy to utilize it. Sona has like 400 less base hp at 18 than most mages and also low armour, the character itself is omegascaling so they give it the shittiest base stats known to man

if you're outtrading the enemies 1v2 then you should be able to secure kills against them, typically i play enchanters because i want be comfy but there are times i play mages since you can easily be able to carry and secure jungle objectives on behalf of your adc being offline, the usual red flags are stuff like ezreal and aphelios where you just kinda know they will absolutely not be playing those champs at full potential in such a low elo, or if your adc locks in ashe because you know they're gonna be one of those very very slow players who will probably miss the point blank ults and don't know how to take advantage of their passive slows.

it's not absolutely unplayable, you can still play enchanters and win, but if people want more agency and control in bot as a support player people tend to recommend just playing mages or other aggressive champs like pyke, desu the main thing is just being patient as usual and idm just doing that.

Why are bruisers the only class allowed to have item variety? You can feasibly build pretty much any bruiser item as your 1st. Black Cleaver, Sundered Sky, Eclipse, Stridebreaker, Shojin. Fuck it, you wanna build Maw or Hubris or even something like Death's Dance 1st? You're still gonna be fine. Meanwhile mages get either Luden's or RoA depending on the champion and more often than not they're really just railroaded into one or the other, just like how marksmen are all railroaded into botrk or Yun'Tal as their first as well.
I think Riot could work on this aspect a lot and it'd be nice.

There's lots of theories but the one I believe is that she's really only picked/played in cases where she's either extremely good or when she's being played with a duo support which compounded with the very small pick rate just inflates her win rate a fair bit because there aren't any newbs trying her out and driving down her winrate.

And you cant build all those items as bruiser first. Most of the times its sk/eklipse or you lose.
