So how do you fix the defensive supremacy in Breakthrough? In 15 games I've seen one offensive win. Make caps unable to be recapped by defenders? More armor for the attackers?

I would not surprise me if the maps chosen for the beta are more closed-in than the rest in order to make players feel like they're in constant action. One of my biggest issues with the open maps is that it turns into tanks-only fun police, and you either run across empty fields getting annoyed by snipers and chipped down by machine guns, or you drive across in a jeep an get instakilled by rockets or helicopters instead.

Defenders seem to have an advantage in cover in Breakthrough. It's so easy on Liberation Peak to sit behind the rocks in front of the first point and just slaughter any attackers. They either need more flanking lanes or they need to reduce the amount of cover defenders have on the first objective. Most Breakthrough matches on LP end on that first point. I've only once seen it reach the last defense point.

How do I make the vehicles fucking steerable. The tank turret rotates with the body in either config, the plane binds are inscrutable, and I haven't had the opportunity to get a heli off the ground to try it out.

Went a little crazy in the firing range trying to figure out what feels better and what is good on this particular weapon. I think more precision over control is good, but with this many points left over it feels like I'm missing something. I could equip the match trigger but this doesn't even have a semi-auto mode so not sure if worth.

You're just unlucky. I've been playing mostly breakthrough today and attacker wins are not rare. It may sound silly, but if attackers don't push, they don't win. I had a few similar games on Peak where the majority of the time focues on fighting over those silly rocks on the left instead of going for the objective. You can just throw smokes and run straight towards the cap zone.

spotting has been reworked in that you need to be looking VERY close if not dead on at an enemy and a good chunk of their model needs to be unobscured and the game casts shadows everywhere (this is a modern shooter problem not just BF, and its gonna get worse now that everyone is using UE5). after much testing i have come to the conclusion that the overall best gun at most ranges is the m433, it's solid up close, at medium range, at some longe range (obviously not beating lmgs or dmrs/snipers) and although it can't ads or fire as quickly as carbines or smgs it can still keep up if you're good enough or the other player is dogshit

I can only anecdotally say this based on how fast I was spotted but;
The sniper rifle always have glare, unless its ironsights. Even red dots have glare.
All other guns have glare over 4x magnification.

I found the DMRs with 3.5x was the best option. I had range, but no one spotted me instantly like they did when I had glare on. I sat in places where people should have been able to see me but they ran past while I aimed at them to test this.

We need to be able to access the rooftops, more of the buildings need to have real interiors, and we probably need more traversable pathways, but the game runs like shit already so I don't think it would be able to handle a larger playspace on the dense maps

I think Marvel Rivals is a lot easier than Battlefield because the graphics/visual feedback/color makes it easier to spot enemies. here in Battlefield sometimes I can't tell if I'm seeing an enemy or an ally. I had to constantly look if theres an ally icon.

You need to always be moving or be in really good cover. You are much harder to hit when you're zigzagging, moving up and down and changing your direction constantly. If you take a shot you should change positions if possible. The guy who saw your shot or died to you will be looking for you in that spot.

Play like a complete pussy, follow your teammates around and let them die first so you know where to aim. Camp on the objectives and crawl under vehicles and hide in bushes so that you can shoot first and kill people while they're trying to figure out where you are at. Equip a shotgun and hide in buildings or narrow alleyways with short sight lines, you will kill them in one shot whereas they need to shoot you 4-6 times to kill you. Play as a engineer and follow tanks around, keeping them alive, you will get a shitload of score for healing.

If you are in one of the outdoor maps that have aircraft, throw on the anti air launchers and lock onto enemy planes and helis. Don't fire right after you lock on, wait for them to waste their chaff, and then re-lock onto them and fire. You will single-handedly decide the outcomes of matches doing things like this. Always revive your teammates if you can manage it, and never quick revive unless you are completely overrun, often times you will get picked back up again, which will save your team tickets. One ticket doesn't seem like much but it adds up over the course of a match and can make a big difference.

When you're running around, try to always think "Where am I going to hide right now if someone starts shooting at me.", Stay out of the open if you can manage it.

I haven't seen anyone talking about the tactical advice, or the AI commander, or whatever the fuck it is that sends squad orders. That has a lot of potential as long as they make it less stupid, from what i've seen it sends the entire team to the next point in practically alphabetical order, without thought for strategy or map layout. If they could do something simple like prioritizing some squads to hold back caps, some squads to skirmish at enemy back caps, and a larger force to fight over the rubber points it could push a decent flow of combat all over the map. As of right now it just creates death balls of 20 ish people that go from cap to cap and rarely make a consistent fight.

I'm really loving 6 right now. It's a slightly faster paced Bad Company. Only difference is that there aren't as many vehicles in the beta and close quarters gunfights devolve into CoD slip and slides. There are still movement penalties to accuracy at mid-long range so people aren't just jiggle peaking behind cover.

It might sound like milsim larp but if you actually ads before turning corners, hold angles where you expect enemies to come from (the objectives they have captured), lean over cover/walls and mount your gun for extra stability you will get a lot of of kills. Also helps to constantly check the minimap since you can see whoever is shooting, and of course always use cover, don't shoot from the open. I've been getting like 20+ kills and sub 5 deaths in most of my games just because most people are running around without thinking and since the ttk is so low if you're pre-aiming there's almost no chance they win a fight

I'm not sure what reason is left to play recon with that change, just the unrezzable headshots, I guess? I'm sure people feel that way. Things are condensed at the moment, and probably feel kinda cramped. But we know bigger maps are coming and will be added so we can take that into account in the future.
As for TTK it seems to be right on the money where guns that shoot faster feel a little too fast to kill(fully kitted) and slower firing weapons feel just a tad bit slow. This allows the player to decide to either engage head on and race for kills or take a more tactical approach and try to get first hits on target to win engagements.

Since they are doing skins I think this would be a good opportunity for nostalgia skins for soldiers. Like port over the AI soldiers froms 2042 and the modern era Portal soldiers for the base game. Or bring back the old Battlefield 2 class designs for some mid-2000's tacticool kino.

Knowing EA though all of these would be paid cosmetics or in a battle pass though.
