Japan lost 60% of their player base after the first CM. Many F2P and "dolphin" players were extremely frustrated upon seeing how much they missed out on.
It didn't help that the CM winning whales got catapulted even further ahead from all their extra rewards, basically making them forever untouchable and out-of-reach.
If you can't do well in this CM, you will only do worse in every CM going forward, constantly fighting from behind.
I'm telling you this in hopes you'll be prepared for the CM and do well enough to stay in the game.

Lowest race runs are at ~30. It also had the most random event bullshit ever and tacked with slow load times. You rarely get anything as low as an hour per run.

Music like this kinda makes me disappointed the game's aesthetic is Pretty Derby and not RTTT, BoaNE or CG. It lines up far more with the latter.

JP players prioritize 2 things highly: lore because many are keibafags, and their own time/efficiency since many are salary-men playing on the train home and such, so they want to get in 1 run in the time their commute lasts.

Many disliked MANT because the runs do not use the keiba stories and instead are essentially "do whatever you'd like" fanfiction where you can make King Halo only do Sprints if you prefer. JP keibafans don't like that because they play for the story and the lore connections.

Many disliked MANT because the runs are longer. Like, a full efficiency run lasts like 60% longer because you're doing many races (as many as you can handle). Salarymen can't finish a MANT run on their commute and this is bad for them. Global players will probably appreciate a more pure roguelite mode without the keiba story and with longer gameplay time, especially because the ones that don't like it can still play older campaigns (URA will still be meta for spark farming).

The skill selects a straight segment then a random point on it, which means that for instance on the Tokyo 2400m, it has a 1/3 chance of triggering in the first 325m (whiff), 1/3 of triggering at 900-1350 (great), and 1/3 of triggering at 1900-2400m (depends where exactly it triggers, but most likely pretty bad). So yeah, it's more than a 5% chance of it popping somewhere bad, a lot more, but anyone who has bothered to watch it in action could tell you that just looking.
