The patch is just a contentless slop and that's it. It is completely out of place within the context of current expansion and it is a clear fit for the next expansion.
2 extremely mediocre dungeons, 1 raid, retarded overtuned worlboss, and cloak - that's pretty much all the real "content" there is. 3/5 story chapters are done in like 2 hours, meaning whole 5/5 chapters are 3-4 hours total at best. If cloak and story chapters were not timegated, it would be already completed day-1. Phase Walking is a huge flop too.
I only go to meme zone to enter dungeons and there is no any real reason or real motivation to do anything there.
It also looks like shit: muh desert islands floating in space with literally nothing on them, and good ethereals are fighting le bad ethereals.

I've played wow since late vanilla but have still made time to try out most other MMOs as well as tons of other games. I played runescape for years. I tried some chink MMOs like terra, blade and soul, black desert, i tried wildstar for a minute, i've played SWTOR for a bit, i played GW2 for years, i even checked out ESO for a second, and of course during the shadowlands exodus i also played through the entirety of XIV.
It's been fun and not so fun. Some interesting experiences for sure. Definitely has given me a more well rounded view of MMOs in general and what WoW does good and what it needs to improve.

When WoW started, it made sense for some classes to be locked, the alliances were still a bit new and it made sense, gnomes couldn't be priests or paladins, they didn't believe in the light. Same with how no one on the Horde could be Paladins (even if it was stupid that they could be Priests, because, again, the light).

But with every expansion, it makes less and less sense to lock classes behind a race. At this point, there is z-e-r-o reason for any class to be locked by race, outside of Evoker. Every class can be taught (or in DKs case, given) outside of Evoker so racial locking is just retarded at this point. You're telling me a Gnome learned how to harness the light to shoot light spells and healing magic, but can't do it while wearing plate? You're telling me no other race than belf or nelf have suffered enough that they're willing to eat a demon to try and gain power? It makes even LESS sense since WARLOCKS fucking exist, it's basically the same thing. Next expac should unlock all classes for all races except Evoker.
