DPS dive characters shift the entire combat zone around them the moment they appear. For the worst example of why DPS dive shouldn't be good look at BP. You're dead incredibly fast, he's countered by one character who is part a class no one wants to play, he's insanely hard to track due to his speed, and if he messes up he suffers no real repercussions for it. People who defend BP literally expect the entire team to change composition and strategy because one character exists. Spider-Man's damage has been nerfed but he's still insanely fast to the point where most players cannot track him at all, and even if you do kill Spider-Man he is so fast he's back into the fight from spawn within 5 seconds. Alot of this also applies to Magik to a certain extent. DPS dive characters basically eat the average player alive which is bad for the game as you can imagine. Spider-Man at least takes a bit of effort to get used to his velocity and stuff but he's still an annoying fag, especially on maps where he can easily pull you off.

I never understand why people melt about Spider-Man. His ttk is slower compared to other dive / melee characters, he doesn't generate any bonus health like Magik or BP, he doesn't get stronger when low like BP, he doesn't have gigantic range on his attacks like Magik or BP, he doesn't have on demand invuln like Magik, he relies on hitting a cluster when going fast before doing damage which telegraphs bim unlike bp who has a giant aoe on spear toss and can instantly dash and kill you in moments, or Magik who can start her combo instantly. Even characters he should have a good matchup on like flying chars fuck him. Ultron can tap his dash to dodge the combo or his self shield and win the fight, ironman can fast fly away from the combo and beam him, storm wins if you can aim at all, torch is possibly his best matchup but he can still escape with his dive.

There's no point in playing tank this season.
I think I'm gonna take a break until they fix the role.

If a melee dps character isn't mobile, what the fuck do they do? How do they close the distance or get away? Use your brain jesus fucking christ. What do you want? A melee character with high mobility but with 60 second ttk? Or Melee characters with no mobility that can't do shit?
When I flex to support, I usually have no problem dealing with them one on one (I play Sue, Loki, Rocket, Ultron). Just have good positioning, be aware of your surroundings, safe your cool downs, and actually land them. Of course you'll still die sometimes because they are playable characters that should be allowed to do contribute to the game.
It just boggles my mind that you braindead retarded sissies are complaining about Spidey and Magik (two of the weakest heroes in the game), meanwhile the actually OP heroes are every single support, Mag, Emma, DPS like Hela, Bucky, Torch, Psy etc.

Just tried him on Practice Tool and I am not playing Marvel Rivals since before the patch right now.
But I noticed his shotgun has animation cancel with melee(ranged mode) and with melee (melee combo mode) plus that dash melee ability and like Magik, you can apply an interesting burst with the rotation.
The Punisher for example can cancel animation changing to shotgun but its so fast that he trigger happy shots the shotgun on the floor while hes taking the shotgun out of the imaginary holster (interesting animation realism but bad for gameplay)

This is a miscommunication on their part. They said he's F tier and put him as alphabetical F.

Here’s how I would fix blade.
1) remove weapon switching. His primary fire is his sword. His secondary fire is his gun.
2) make the speed metre a standard part of his melee instead of tied to the vampire mode.
3) make anti heal dash his only dash.
4) remove the anti heal debuff from his vampire mode, and make the mode last for a couple of seconds before going on cool down. There’s no negative to using the mode now. It’s just a matter of using it at the right time.
5) let him hold his block as long as possible. It goes on cool down only when he stops using it.
6) increase health to 750 and make him a tank

Don't look to this site, it is outdated the day it comes out. When 3.5 comes out they put out the finalized stats of 3.0, so it does not reflect current meta. Within the context of 3.0 though, you have to also consider the pickrate. Mantis also had a good winrate, Thor's was decent, Magik, and all of these characters have low pickrate. It's because they are picked in the niche situations where they are going to shine whether it's being in the hands of a 1 trick who has learned every matchup or just has the cracked aim or playing with or against certain other heroes.

With Mag and Emma, you want to play corners since they're stupid immobile muties. Mag is call about being right next to your team so you can shield and bubble them. Mag is more about reacting to situations. See a situation, react to it. Also, get Mag's M1,M2,M1 combo going as it one shots 250HP squishes.

Emma is the more active character. Play corners, use shield sparingly (as in to save yourself or a teammate from burst damage) or to act as a pseudo-groot and block off enemy heal paths. Poke and bully the tanks till you get close to 100 charge, and then just start beating on the supports. Also, good Emma's retain their 100 charge as long as possible, and activating diamon form retains the charge as well as shooting groot walls and loki clones. You're also the best tank to handle Magik so go bully her if she tries to dive your backline

First of all it really sucks that most of the time you have something like a jeff as a co healer so you have nobody to ult off other than the enemy supports who are very difficult to target especially when you actually need to. But i also just struggle doing good healing and damage as him cause of his projectile so it's hard to heal flyers or fast moving targets. His damage and healing is also shit by himself you need his clones up but players are constantly spreading out, changing angles, and pushing up way too far or pulling back way too far to be able to keep up with your clones. The cooldowns for your clones aren't long but they're long enough where you can't seem to reposition them as frequently as i seem to need to.

I know he's a great character under the right conditions but he seems a far cry from being an easy pick who can hard carry every game.

They'd be shit in any role then. When you're not being damaged you should be turning around to check on your team especially when the opposing team has a diver. The number of times I have had to solo Vanguard and am expected to worry about the frontline and the backline because Duelist think peeling is only the job of the Vanguard and Strategists is too damn high. If they're going to continue with this solo Vanguard meta shit the game is quickly turning into then Solo Vanguards need a health and slight damage boost to compensate. There are certain habits you develop as a Vanguard player. Looking back towards your team is one of them since you are a Vanguard who will be taking a shit ton damage and need healers to mostly be focusing on you. If you are a Vanguard and are not being healed. You have to ask yourself why is that? Is my healer being dived? Am I too far away? Am I not in their line of sight? Unfortunately many retards who only play duelist might never truly develop this habit since Duelist is the most independent role and many think their job is to only focus on what is right in front of them and hold left click.

Thats insane because the other two classes rosters are too small. There are more duelists than vanguard and strategist combined. This has a compounding effect too because its common to see like 3 vanguards get banned in a game. This gets even worse apparently in tournaments where teams can ban out basically all the "good" strategists and force weird compositions on enemies.

People think Magneto is overpowered when he really isn't. His kit is just so neutral that you can always get value when playing him. Not much fucks with his kit. If you play Groot into Emma and wolverine or squirrel girl etc, you are going to have a bad time. Groots kit is VERY counter pickable. Nothing really shits on Magneto that hard because his kit is neutral. Which is why every time I see them nerf Magneto numbers wise, I cringe because its not the right way to change him if they want people to pick him less. They need to make the other tanks be more general(not homogenized).

How varied should my pickable hero pool be? I am typically a vanguard player which means I almost never have to play other roles because vanguard is always available. I can play currently Groot, Magneto, Thing, Adam Warlock and Mantis, and Mr Fantastic. Only reason I play those two healers is because they are the only ones I find interesting honestly. Not even because they get to deal damage more often but because thematically, I hate the other strategists available. Although, I think I'd like ultron. I can't play any Duelist characters at all really.
