Its more about behavior and the fact that warrior is much more difficult to play than any of the other classes that can tank.
On one side its turtle being incompetent when it comes to balancing on the other its the bear tank pressing one button and getting all the aggro on him. While the warrior tank struggles to keep up aggro on one single mob.

All the other classes are better at healing. Priests only have very niche situations where they have arguably an edge. But otherwise you better play any of the other classes that can heal.

Question about ascension.

I understand that if I select a featured build, say vampire lord, when I reach 70 I will unlock all the related enchants including the legendary one.

But how does levelling works related with specs? say that I reach level 70 with vampire lord. If I buy a tome of specialization will I start at 70? In which case, if I start at 70 with an hoplite I won't unlock the enchants, so the idea is to level from 1?

I'm not very familiar with WLs but I guess Affli and Destro are both decent and play like you'd expect them to, according to my guildies Demo is very finnicky in terms of gear and playstyle (they basically need a 30 second pull timer or start whining)
Ret is similar to how they were in TBC sans Seal of Blood and having an alternative holy dmg Crusader Strike they use every so often to maintain a strength buff that shares CD with the usual CS that maintains a stacking Haste buff

How good is fire mage compared to arcane? Never really been a fan of arcane. Do you still need to coordinate with other mages to hold ignites or is it just apply scorch and spam fireball? I see they have hot streak but it seems like a much shittier version.

Seal twisting is still mechanically possible, but I don't see even the best performing/tryhard Paladins doing it because you have less space for it in your rotation (Crusader Strike/Holy strike only have 6s CD, possibly 5.5 with an endgame Libram, you want to use Consecrate/Exorcism etc.)
Current Ret is in a bit of a weird position where you can either gear for Attack power/Strength and use Seal of Command or go for a lot of Spellpower and use Seal of Righteousness, the latter currently performs better, especially without Windfury Totem, but it's getting nerfed a decent bit in the next patch (less SP on Pala gear, Dragonbreath Chili scaling is cut by 2/3, 2H Crusader Strike and Seal of Righteousness get scaling nerfs)
Warlocks still suck in AoE compared to mages, you can only multidot or Hellfire, that's better than some classes but nothing like volley or seed

I know you're right about RP being way too personal for it to really have much to discuss that wouldn't just devolve into personal attacks and shitflinging, but the private phase building is pretty complex and allows people to make whatever the hell they want. I highly recommend joining, just because it's fun to make stuff for the character you've been grinding out on in your preferred pserver.

On the one hand, there used to be one tauren anon who was making a nice little meeting hut for his character's family. On the other hand, orcedanon made an actual dungeon for Alliance dogs to get ORCED in. Both of these were pretty well-built.

While the super custom LELDRAGUNRPZONEs are pretty cringy, there's more normal hubs like the Wetlands or the outskirts of Gilneas that people do some nice stories at. There's also a decent spread of backgrounds, so if you don't like something like someone bringing pride pins into a game, you can easily find some Scarlets to go prosecute infidels with.

it's turtle fresh. there will be the same amount of things to do. but the pvp system is getting a revamp, while also still apparently keeping a nerfed version of the current system. the patch notes i've read weren't specific on the exact changes.

anyway, the new server isn't meant to be anything more than a fresh and they have said they will merge it into the main server if needed. so you can't really go wrong playing on either Nord or AMBIE (HYPE HYPE) and it's not worth overthinking it.
