Yeah this. Great churches are extremely low investment for what you get out of them. On top of this list, there's still a boss that'll give a loot whisp, and tons of small enemies for exp. Even late game, clearing a church can give you a ton of kills for your marais/grafted buff. I started a full souls + ER playthrough, where I try to do Faith+Int builds in each game. So like Night and Flame in ER for example is what I'll use, along with like discs of light.
In Dark Souls 1, Greatsword of Artorias is the only weapon in the whole game that has dual Faith Int scaling. Just got to anor londo and finally got my sword for the rest of the game. I'll probably put some more points into INT for the hexes later on.
I haven't even researched what weapons I can use in Dark Souls 2 and 3. It's been so long I really don't remember what exists.

Adel's theme is unironically my favorite for how much it embodies the boss and it's fight.
