"Kris." is the way Catti talks to Kris, using the bare minimum amount of words to deliver what she wants to say. Jockington starting the conversation in this way is a friendly gesture, a really shitty impression of a friend that both of them have in common. An ice-breaker, basically.

Here, Jockington references that they played sports very recently, probably whatever the fuck the "Ball Game" is. Kris interrupts Jockington stating that he thinks they won "today's game" but isn't sure, by asking him if he knows any codes. Yet another SBAHJ reference, as is common for him. Last one was foreshadowing the defeat of the Titan, so this line and the next line may also prove to be relevant in the near future. Jockington states that he is going to church in place of Catti, as she "can't" go. The fact this is showcased as something Catti is unable to do, as opposed to unwilling to do, furthers her themes to the satanic and paranormal.

Very subtle reference to the prophecy here. Jockington states that he can't be "covered in hair", and thus Catti acts as his substitute player for it, implying he would enjoy being covered in hair. When taking into account that the prophecy states Jockington will "grow the beard", this becomes a very interesting line. If Jockington CAN indeed grow hair, then they're not doing "What, the other can n't!" but simply what they believe they can't do themselves. This implies that Catti could, indeed, "go the big Church Match."

Since last "ball Game" was Titan related, but also related to a real sports match, it is very possible this is foreshadowing a "big Church Match" against Catti in the near future.

Childhood friend to lovers is bad because of how it's usually written, which is that the dude just has the girl in his lap the whole time and is already treating her like his girlfriend but then only realises at the end.
Rivals/enemies at least actually goes through the effort of establishing a dynamic to the relationship first, which leads to fun friction and flirting/pushing each others boundaries. It's more active and dynamic.

And that's why estranged friends to lovers is the second best trope, only behind "mutual unrequited love". You get to watch characters coming to terms with understanding their own feelings and trying to disentangle what they feel about the person now from what they felt about them before.

Spamton also describes himself as burning at his shop, most likely because of what Friend did to him, and he even says that Kris can experience this too. Then, a chapter later, we have ERAM saying "There! That's what I wanted to see!" when commenting on the fire in Kris's eyes. I think that's decent evidence for ERAM being Friend. If not, ERAM at least has the same desire to burn people's eyes. Whatever that means.

Been thinking about the Titan fight and why some people have felt it's underwhelming

I think it has to do with DT so far doing a poor job at selling the real stakes of the story. The whole game so far is about teenagers fucking around in a boonies town playing in imaginary worlds. The prophecy to save the world doesn't feel compelling when the world doesn't seem to be at that huge risk, when we haven't actually seen yet the consequences of fountains and the dark in light worlds, and so far the real driving force of Deltarune seems to be the character's personal journeys. Like, yeah, the world's gonna end but nothing *feels* urgent so far, the big bad antagonist is hiding inside closets.

As someone who thought the Titan fight was underwhelming, I have to agree. The game DOES do a good job at showing the destruction caused by the Titan right afterwards, what with the church being obliterated and whatnot, but I feel like it would have been better to do that kind of stuff at the start of Chapter 4 instead.
If we had seen the Dreemurr house completely torn apart, TV smashed to pieces, figurines thrown about, that would have been really compelling to establish the Knight (and therefore the Titans) as a current threat. The place where both chapters ended previously, Kris's home, would no longer feel safe or like home at all. I feel like Toby wrote himself into a corner by wanting Toriel to not find out about the dark worlds, preventing Chapter 3 from having any real light world effects on anyone beyond Kris, Susie, and Undyne.
Because of that, the effects of the Titan wrecking apart the Light World are only ever presented as a vague possibility 2 chapters before it's relevant, and as a past threat that is no longer relevant right after the Titan is defeated. Ultimately though, the bullet patterns being piss easy also makes it feel incredibly underwhelming, considering the Knight was far harder. The characters being hopeless despite the SOUL dodging every single attack up to that point also ruins immersion.
