I feel like the Purify change really threw off their momentum personally, they don't feel like this indestructible rolling machine that requires team concentration to take down anymore since they're very reliant on that old Purify cooldown lining up with their gameplan. I think Warrior and Paladin are arguably stronger at the moment, but I don't find myself annoyed fighting into them, which is a welcome change from Gunbreaker at its peak.

I played around 40 CC games as WAR and had to put it down and go back to VPR. The fact that you can hard swing some games just by hitting 2-3 people with Primal Rendforcing them to either waste 2500 MP on Purify or take a ton of damage is ridiculous. And with how bad the ping is, you’d stun them, they’d Purify, and then immediately get stunned by something else.

On top of that, life steal is really strong this patch, so you can stay alive slightly longer than usual.
I don’t know why they buffed PLD and turned it into a pseudo-ranged job now. I think the devs are smoking crack.

mods are super easy to install. there's basically a mod client you download and from there you can open a window in-game that lists all the mods that have been made, and you can one click install any of them without having to close the game or anything. it installs them instantly and they become enabled. it's pretty neat.

and yes, almost everyone here uses mods to some degree. most people use various QoL mods, a lot of people use Mare which is essentially a mod that allows you to edit your characters appearance and others can see it, and there's also mods that help with gameplay though those are usually frowned upon.

The only way this spell isn't impactful is if you actually just send it into a Guarding enemy, but having multiple people take the 12k burst and still being completely satisfied if they Purify right afterwards makes it feel like such a hard spell to whiff. I can't understand how bad it must feel to either take the full stun duration when the enemy team is on top of you, or Purify it to minimal benefit and still be closer to dying anyways.

You know, I've heard this, but awhile back I saw a clip of some streamers fighting some dungeon boss(?) and the party getting wiped.

And I rewatched the clip a few times and read the comments to find out what happens and it turns out it was the most basic-ass ARR-level boss mechanics you could imagine and everyone is acting like it's a tough boss. One player gets an AoE and has to run away from the party but he failed to do so and wiped everyone. THAT is the super hard mechanic that they struggled with.

Maybe it was just a bad example but man everyone was acting like this boss was super lethal when its abilities were so damn basic, like the kind of abilities you see in ARR dungeons.

Well the thing with WoW bosses for raids is that they usually layer on mechanics with each difficulty. Also a raid usually has like 8~12 bosses so the earlier ones are usually very uncomplicated. The advantage to having more bosses, though, is that they have more freedom with individual fights. There's a lot more variety in what goes on in a WoW boss than an FFXIV boss on average. Usually most of the raid is kind of middling tier and the last 2 or 3 bosses are the ones tuned to actually be a big challenge with a lot of things going on.

Don't tell anyone this but
The main reason why PLD is good this is because sacred claim is so disgustingly strong for self sustain combo'd with VPR.

Two big problems with steam:
1. You're forever locked to steam, you can't switch to the PC launcher iirc. You have to get all the expansions from steam as well.
