This is an issue I noticed early on and brought up to my friends who are WoW veterans. I started playing casually at the tail end of Legion and pushed mythics and shit for the first time ever in BFA. With war mode and all that shit and world pvp becoming more and more scarce there really isn't a point. You might encounter old school natural world pvp while leveling sometimes in different time warped zones, but again then you have natural gear vs full looms. You have those dedicated pvp islands on the maps sometimes but at that point how is that different from just going into a bg? Unless you really like pushing mythic beyond 10 or being able to say you did a mythic raid, item level is whatever. And im a solo player and with delves being a thing, if im pushing pve I just do those instead
