You need to learn to adapt if you don't have godtier aim to win more games. The higher you climb, the more the enemy will learn to predict what you are gonna do.

I play in Electron/Quark lobbies and the biggest difference outside aim is how teams just learn to adapt on the fly and make game choices much much faster than your average Neutron.

without ult, leona's two main strengths are blocking pathways/slowing approaches, and providing new angles to defend/retake with. Her ult disables both of these since attackers can walk through ulted blocks and she/her teammates can't stand on ulted blocks. Due to this a lot of times I feel like using ult would make the situation worse since I'd be giving up those benefits.
Her low pick and win rate I would attribute to the fact that those two strengths are heavily map dependent. There are maps where she is strong and maps where placing blocks provides a lesser benefit, and the maps in the latter category I can see the feeling of needing ult to be useful making sense.
Even if you are only picking her on maps where she is good, there are other characters on defense that are also strong. If you are going to devote yourself to one or two characters, there's no reason to pick one that is only good on certain maps instead of a character that is good everywhere.

I'm sure they will buff her when her legendary comes out like they always do. And seriously, give her a better A3 already.
