If you're stuck at plat you have BIG flaws to patch up.

Take a break from ranked for a week or two. Do only casuals and practice mode, specifically aiming to patch up those massive gaps in your play.
Then come back when you think you're not just good enough for a 50% WR Plat run to diamond, come back when you're sure you're playing at a level above plat and rake in those win streaks.

I also like to warm up with practice mode drills and casual matches before I tackle Ranked.
If Im having an off day, Ill forego ranked and just do casuals all day.

GG was way more grassroots in japan and not all that huge in the first place and most of the old guard simply left when their favorite series was raped.
Meanwhile the flood gates opened for secondaries in the west. First implementation of rollback for the series+corona lockdowns helped it a lot in the west too.

For SF6 Capcom had a very strong established environment in japan.
Sometime in mid SFV they started building up community shit in japan and could directly embrace new players in that infrastructure when 6 came out.
They also have pretty much all japanese pros on a pay roll and do their work as marketers basically.
Then they also bought up vtubers and the biggest twitch streamers in japan which helped a lot too.
In the west most of that didnt exist and Capcom USA hired trannies instead.

Everybody in the west actually was ready to jump onto SF6 and Capcom delivered a complete and functional package. Everybody was ready to ignore flaws and hold criticism back because "muh release game". Then people started realizing that this is all the game is ever going to be.

In my experience replying to people that want to level up their game with SF6 in these threads it always ends in them irrationaly becoming rabid towards me. just yesterday I had responded to someone who wanted to talk about how to level up his whiff punish game with Elena, gave him my bit of advice to which he proceded to cry about the state of Elena. I agreed with him and have said that the recent two DLC characters have gotten me worried about the future DLCs. He misinterpreted it as me comparing Elena to Sagat somehow and how she's much worse than him, I clarified the situation saying that I was merely saying that their current versions are former selfs of themselves and while they still have some similarities they play nothing alike their former versions.
