I've been filtered hard by Master Duel/Yugioh and I'm looking for a new card game to play. Is Shadowverse worth getting into or is it too late for me? Going from a quick search online, it seems Shadowverse 1 is on life support and won't get any further updates because Shadowverse 2 exists, and Shadowverse isn't doing great on Steam?

Presentation-wise it's the best looking anime TCG in the market by a country mile. great UI, great Park mode, great effects, interactive/live 3D leaders and wallpapers with unique effects, caters to both types of anime fans (entire archtypes built around cunny, hags, and mechas/chuuni shit) etc...

In YGO speak, those Neutral cards are kinda like the common handtraps, though currently there's only 1 card that's universal enough to throw into every deck(Odin, banish a card upon playing and you can instantly hit face after).
Each classes do have specific card(s) that they always put into their deck no matter what, and since the card pool is still pretty small(275 cards total, 1 Class = 36 cards with Neutral = 23 cards) there isn't that many variety of decks yet.

People play drastically different ramp lists, the only constants are 3* dragonsign 3* merman and 3* filene everything else is cuttable. Some people even dropped ho-chan altogether.

This particular Spell card is called Astaroth's Reckoning, costing 10PP(the maximum you can have in the game) and locks the opposition HP to 1.
Super Evolve mechanic introduced in this game makes it so the Super Evolved unit to deal 1 damage to the opposition whenever it destroys a unit.
Since you've played enough YGO then you'd probably grasp how it works.
