You dont board break as good as tear and you dont get to do turn 0 blowouts like labrynth.
Fiendsmith and a bao qu are fantastic glue between both archetypes.

I keep hearing that A Bao is supposed to be summoned using Gryphon so you can revive Gryphon, but that requires seven bodies total(4 for Gryphon + 3 and Gryphon for A Bao)
not to mention the discard requirement, which means you need 2 extra cards in your hand, 1 to summon Gryphon and 1 to do something on the opponent's turn
that is way too big of an investment for 1 pop/revive and a floodgate that any link deck can work around
even using Fiendsmith to bring out Gryphon with a 1 card combo, you still need 3 more bodies and 2 discards to make it work as intended
but lots of decks still use them, even ones without FS or fiends in general?

Kash was an extremely boring and at times extremely frustrating deck to play against(and still is) but it was manageable particularly when you knew most opponents would be playing it. It had a ton of tech cards that it was extremely weak against and they were ones that were generally good vs other decks like Talents.
It was a cancer but it wasn't even close to the tier 0 menace that was expected.

The splashability of its best cards was just as big of an issue if not more of one.

Unban and unlimit all decks that were meta in Master Duel before 2025, The powercreep made those decks basically equal in power. If Maliss, K9VS, Yummy, Ryzeal Mitsurugi can have million extenders, rewards for cost, plus card design made to dodge handtraps and board breaker's, then let's free Floo, Kashtira, Tearlaments, Snake Eyes, Tenpai to full power so we can see which decks are actually strongest

Muddy Muddragon is a Level 6 Dark Dragon with generic tuner requirements.

I was going to put in a target for cupid pitch but decided against it and didnt take it out. Need to replace that and Scarlight RDA because it never came up. Unlike other cardgames that have most decks on an aggro to control spectrum, Yugioh is Combo to control where combo decks are the fastest decks that try to set up as much as possible as early as possible, so usually the decks that shit out their entire extra deck on turn 1.
Control decks are decks that give up on that sort of speed of winning the game through reaching an overwhelming boardstate ASAP in return for setting up a resource loop that will ensure that if the game stretches out, they will absolutely win a grind game through card advantage. Midrange is somewhere inbetween the two which is why it's so contentious, it's largely a matter of opinion on where the lines lay.

Stun is a strategy where your win condition is through floodgates. Floodgates are cards that for an extended period of time stop the opponent from even attempting to take certain actions or essentially cut the opponent off from certain game mechanics. Think Skill Drain rather than an omni. A stun deck can be a combo deck like a Vaylantz deck that searches out Pachy as their main wincon, or a control deck like a Lab build with a bunch of floodgates shoved in.
But also typically when people complain about "Stun" they're referring to Barrier Statue/Boarder/whatever normal summon Stun which is going to run all the generic floodgates and normal summon a floodgate and protect it with Solemns.

That's because Lab is not a stun archetype and is only sometimes a stun deck. Lab is a very versatile archetype that's been built in a ton of ways.
You can choose to run floodgates and turn it into a stun deck as many do. But also many run the deck without floodgates or without a heavy emphasis on them.
