Hello! I am a heroic server player and while I primarily plan to stay there as my primary place to play, I am actually also very into achievement hunting. In order to collect all (or most considering some are nigh impossible for now like level 300) I will eventually need to make my way to reg server. Assuming I have an eternity to build up my reg server account, what would be the best way to get started?

So far my ideas would be to use some event currency during events to buy an extra character slot without using maple points. Also maybe starting a monster collection on reg server and start redeeming them every day to get some red cubes and idk eventually get something to legendary potential? Just hoping to get some advice of how I would trickle my progress on reg server, the most cost effective way.

I get filtered by Will p3, specifically the webs. Will's attacks are easy to dodge but all the other shit drains the moonlight gauge and makes it clearing the webs too slow. The last two kills I've had only worked because I had like 8 lives left by the time the entire screen was webbed, meaning I could revive and do some damage for like 10 seconds before dying. Rinse and repeat until Will was dead.

We can gear storage arcane/abso boxes, yes it's currently in stage 1, but once people get a sweet, sweet taste of that gear storage they will realize how much better the game would be with in-account tradability in reboot and start asking for it to be expanded to ring boxes, then slime rings/daybeak/twilight/rfs,gollux etc then pitch etc

I'm also happy with pitch pity, traces restoring at the star level they boomed at, and other methods of restoring traces, inkwell didn't just listen to me, he cooked even harder and went even further beyond.

The tradeability is about absos and arcanes because those form the core of a character's gear. Other stuff such as boss accessories or pitch are not included and the latter is apparently not even under consideration. If there is ever an expansion of the system it will involve eternal gear since that's the next step after arcanes, but that can happen in like 2035 at the earliest.

Yeah it will be boxes for now since that would be the easiest to code and implement, once the box is opened the gear itself won't be going back in storage, obviously you don't want unlimited transfers, once an items equipped it needs to be locked to that specific character, so doing gear would require a big overhaul on how every piece of gear is coded in reboot.

Nah, you misunderstand what they're trying to achieve here. Why do you think the system is limited to absos and arcanes instead of all equipment or even the equipment up to that point? It's because if your character is too weak for the bosses that drop boxes, obtaining absos requires you to do outdated weekly quests while arcanes require you to spend billions on droplets. This is notably different from CRA, which is why they're not tradeable despite being part of both abso and arcanes sets in the meta. Other sets like the boss accessory set, gollux, twilight and pitched also don't require any weird extra steps because they just drop from boss kills, hence why they're not tradeable either. The purpose of this change is to eliminate the outdated busywork around gear progression in order to make it simpler to create all the mules the game wants you to have, which is why it was mentioned alongside other ways to make that process more convenient. If the goal of this change was to increase the availability of rare drops it would have been under that section instead. The purpose of this system is completely different from what you think it is, which is why it's not going to expand the way you expect.

So far, since we stated "going west" there are only 3 things Inkwell can be credited for. 1 - NOT bringing over some changes from KMS: which shouldn't be something to boast about since not introducing content certainly takes no resources. 2 - Ride or Die: which outside of a couple rewards sucks ass. If we were given the option of choosing challenges and the game didn't actually demand to do all challenges for maximum efficiency then it could be fun, but as of right now its nothing but a chore. 3 - the new harvesting system: oh boy, dont get me started on that one, i cannot believe the fumbled that one so hard. All they had to do is create a system that replicated the monster exploration one, choose group, send them to explore, wait, reap rewards. Instead they made some overcomplicated shet that requires you are on for it to work and then has some bonus mechanics that are not even noticeable, and on top of that the token shop doesn't even cover the main issue of the profession system which is supply of rare recipes, as it was promised to.

If we add to on top all the instability issues that we have had after every patch during the past year then things don't look so god for Mr. Inkwell. I am not saying people has no right to be excited about the announcements. I am saying you should be wary AND WAIT FOR THEM TO COME OUT. People acting like GMS is suddenly saved then to hold.

For an end game character that is farming near optimal rates in Heroic, they can expect around 850m mesos per hour. This equates to 38 Bright Cubes an hour. The same progressed character in Interactive can expect around 550-600m per hour assuming they also sell their Sol Erda Fragments in the auction house. The current price for 1 billion meso in the Meso Market is 4.15k NX. Bright cubes in Interactive are 2.2k NX each. This ends up being 2 Bright Cubes an hour. This is also assuming that this player is getting Frenzy service for free (which is around 40-50m/hour).

In Interactive, the standard for most players is to roll a 2 Line Bonus Potential item for a settle. This can costs dozens of cubes which is equal to hundreds of dollars. If at any point you want to upgrade over the 2 line into a 3 line, you have to break the two line potential since in the cash shop only Bonus Glowing Cubes exist (no before/after option). 30-40 Bonus Bright Cubes from events come by once every few months, but 3 line Bonus Potentials have an expected cost of hundreds of cubes.

In the grand scheme of a player's progression, there is near ZERO access to Bonus Bright cubes. It feels terrible to break a 2 line to risk and roll a 3 line but end up with regression after hundreds of dollars. Give Interactive Bonus Bright Cubes PERMANENTLY. OR bring over the meso cube system like in KMS.

If you're asking that question then you're probably alright with purples, but since you're going to be accumulating so many of them anyway you might as well take some of the useless ones up a tier to reroll them. And on that note, the cards in Inkwell's note also allow you to reroll so maybe consider getting a couple of oranges and using the rerolls on those.

Honestly the arcanes are barely a gain over challenger for me right now. Spent all the mesos on sf so the potentials are really bad (e.g. shoes gave me +50k cp)
Slime ring is 17* too so not far off an event ring, although of course the 2 set dawn makes up for it (which you also have from tm/daybreak).
Zerk on its own is not great as i dont have a set effect, so its just raw stats of a 160 item and nothing extra.

Gollux set effect pushes CP up a lot, 3 set is a bunch of attack. I'm stuck at 2 set because i've not got any sup belt/earrings yet.

Not sure how much shackles would give but i think that would be pretty significant too.

I played maple back in like 2005-2009 on gms, ems and private servers and I think nu-maple is actually the better game overall. The areas that classic did better were the social aspects, especially party quests and party grinding, and the sense of adventure, particularly when trying to explore high level areas as a low level player(can't be done anymore because everything is level gated). Bosses are way better these days, as is class balance and the overall QoL. I don't miss walking around everywhere as an archer with 110 speed when night lords could zoom around with flash jump and haste, in addition to doing way more damage than me and having better survivability. I also don't miss killing some bosses by simply stunlocking them in place since there was no way to dodge their attacks if they actually got up close. Classic was janky as fuck.

Impale being on 7 second (5 with cd reduc) is quite limiting.
Resonance rush itself is slow as molasses and the boost from chaining impale with rush is barely noticeable.
Also you NEED CD reduction, preferably 2 lines. There is no negotiation. Bloom is too fucking good for bossing and mobbing to be put on a 20 second cd.
Dying sucks since you need to resummon and set shit up again (that update which has them being kept up after map transition and death can't come soon enough), and that's time spent hitting other abilities that might have gone off cd. It's really easy to desync them with your burst, which I'm sure it's not that big of a deal but it feels weird.

You're right in that it's still not exactly fun, and it's a TERRIBLE class to grind on when you're looking at another screen until you get at least 10 janus and have the damage that you can just spam cleave instead of keeping up hunting decree stacks and hitting bloom.

I don't know how I feel about this. It sounds like a good idea and maybe what it needs to have more people enjoy it. I don't think I'd be too cross over the change.
I also think them coming out automatically as you attack might make the class just braindead since at that point you just need to worry about your short CDs like noble summons, bloom and reign. But it seems to be the trend that people just prefer simple classes, outside of the rare cases like Blasters going nuclear over the kms changes.
It still doesn't solve that you need to ramp up after a death. If I die on my hero or TB, I can just puncture or typhoon and continue the damage. Adele requires a few seconds to set up each time, so I often spend most of the time being in freedom's 8 seconds of invincibility just setting up instead of just having safe damage.
