Japanese discussions on the game I’ve read don’t really suggest that the general opinions are all that different from the west. Their takeaway (because there are forums where they talk about what they think the popularity poll results will be and discuss those older Reddit polls) was that Hiruko is probably more popular overseas.
There’s not much art of Tsubasa out of Asia because all the artists are fujos, and Tsubasa is mostly liked by men.
