It's the most boring season of the year so far. With the main gimmicks basically being "revolver shotgun, fancy rocket launcher shotgun, shit ass useless minigun" and a bunch of mobility, it relies entirely on the Ranks, Medallions/Boons and the Bugs to sell the rest of the season premise. Since we had all of these before and Ranks were already kinda the crux of last season, it makes them feel dull here since they got nerfed in the contents you receive besides the ranking boons. And the medallions were absolute fucking horseshit before, now they're kinda dogshit.

That leaves the bugs as the last big real "cool thing" of the season, and, well, they're so incredibly basic and underwhelming that it feels superfluous. So you really just have an entirely gun-focused season that isn't even doing anything cool with its ideas besides some swarmed POIs.
