The fact that Super Earth still relies on red-tape like C-01 permits to prevent children from being born to low class parents, indicates that they're still somehow suffering from some sort of overpopulation crisis that allows them to be choosy with how many children are born, and who those children are born to.
Even after Super Earth was directly attacked and billions died, all they did was increase the limit of how many C-01 permits were allowed to be approved, instead of being forced to drop the restrictions entirely. This coincides with the idea that the majority of the bug front is a mix of population control and an excuse to keep the war machine alive, where E-710 is literally more valuable than the lives lost trying to farm it.

C-01 permits are there to prevent exactly this. Only well-off and successful citizens that can ensure a prosperous future for their children are allowed to reproduce, and any child sired without proper clearance is immediately taken into government custody, and the offending parents are punished accordingly.
A good number of public service workers and military personnel are taken from this group of government raised C-01 non-compliant children.

Unironically skill issue. Stingrays are avoidable, you can just dive away from their path. You can wreck both voteless and overseers with MMG. And actually utilize red stratagems. Sentries are almost useless on squids. Also ballistic dog headshots every voteless.

The trick with sentries, that I wish more people understood, is that the sentries should almost never be in close proximity to you. This goes beyond simple friendly fire risks. If the sentry gets tackled by a fleshmob, then that means that the fleshmob tackled it instead of me. Since the sentry wasn't near me, then that means that the fleshmob is a good ~50m away and is easy pickings for me at that range. The MG has such a short cooldown that I really don't care if they get destroyed or not. They almost always kill enough overseers and voteless before dying to make it worth my time. It also can be a big boon to have a sentry to kill stuff and draw all of the aggro while you're busy poking the objective stuff.

They are also great at diverting patrols.

Yes. Though I have a just a bit of difficulty on bugs too. While i can run bots in my sleep bugs need me to pay attention to the ever swarming little guys or get overrun. But squids are so much more challenging because like you say, all the units cover for each other. You cant shoot at flying overseers for more than a few seconds because the ground forces will come for you, you cant always get a good shot at the ground overseers because voteless will bodyguard them too. Then while you're chewing the horde a stingray winds up and you cant even dodge cause the voteless mill about. Everything about the squids is designed to just slow you down or get in your way and make you spend more time bogged down.

Well, it comes down to what each faction is supposed to represent. I dont want everything to feel like squids. I like that bots reward marksmenship and sniping. Bots is best with mobility and a bit of stealth. Bugs is best as just hosing down a horse with the occasional hard targets that cause your defensive line to scramble, or (even better) when you have to watch out for assassination by stalkers and shriekers
