As a new player you want to focus on the Ordinary Recruit and wishlist (when you unlock it) otherwise you'll be stuck behind the 160 wall (look it up) and that'll cripple your ability to acquire resources in the first place. I don't think you understand how p2w works. A game becomes p2w when shop items become to much value to pass up. An ideal gaccha shop has gameplay improving items that are very low value. You want the difference of a dolphin/minnow and f2p to be minimal. Right now nikke basically has 2 classes of players, whales and everyone else (which is good), we don't want tons of tiers of players that outclass tiers below one another. A gaccha has to survive so whales are inevitable. A heavy p2w game is defined by large amounts of great value items (dolphins). I assumed Nikke was always intentionally stingy with their rocks to control this balance of low and high spending user. A user on average gets 2.3 rocks a day on kraken (not including the rock pieces). That's 16.1 rocks a week assuming no burst weekend. That's roughly 3.1 weeks worth of rocks. I hope this thing doesn't refresh often. Rocks are pretty much what define if a character is strong or not in nikke. These 40 rocks are a slippery slope. It's not a crazy amount but it's going in a direction I do not like.
