ok im ready to start my early ironman mage jad attempts today. This is the loadout and stats i will be bringing. Note i only have 48 prayer as i boosted with ancestral mace.

The only stats which i think you must have are maybe 68 magic and 45 prayer, for earth wave and mystic might. I'm bringing a couple magic essence pots as with 72 magic i can boost to 75 magic when i want a bit more extra damage as 75 is a dps increase threshold to water wave as it unlocks firewave.

Probably the biggest upgrade an early iron could get for the build is a water tome. It adds an incredible almost 33% increase in dps in fight caves, I think it way out dps's the usual runecbow build most people use. But that could be a lot of grinding at tempoross and i want to proof of concept without it. Could also put rada's blessing 2 in ammo slot but its only 1 prayer and i haven't done the quests yet for the diary. Other than that infinity robes from MTA or ahrims from barrows would be good upgrades that are easily attainable with some grinding.

This will be the first time i try fight caves ever so i hope i get it as blood runes are very expensive.

personally i find ranged easier because if you go in with a fang the 5 tick delay on it means you need to walk back 3, run in 2 (or run back 2, walk in 3) each time you attack meaning you are ctrl walking so its more effort as opposed to the ranged walking where you just swap to blowpipe and click on/off/on/off alternately, ranged seems brainless while melee is more to do

if youre struggling learning 1t flicking, i recommend installing this "histogram" plugin (far too annoying imo to leave on, but it can be useful to get a grasp)
in this image the cyan lines are the tick boundaries and the darker blue are actions
when i 1t flick i try to compensate for the fact that i have at least 45ms of lag from my network + whatever brain latency making my finger click and lead the first press just before the tick start
