According to the leaker it's like dual spec, but you can switch between two classes whenever and you get a new class name.
There's also a new hero talent tree that's specific to the new classes and shared for both individual specs, allowing one class to incorporate abilities from the other into it.

Recently, I bought my girlfriend World of Warcraft. After guiding her through Exile’s Reach over Discord, she learned the basics — how to move the camera, open her inventory, cast spells — you know, the usual stuff.

I rolled a new character so we could start fresh together, leveling side-by-side, running dungeons, the works. This week is Timewalking: Wrath of the Lich King, so I asked if she wanted to try a dungeon (she plays DPS). She said yes. Knowing that TW is usually for leveling or farming badges, I didn’t think much of it.

We queued and got Utgarde Keep. Since it was her very first dungeon, she needed a bit of time to adjust to the layout, learn where to go, deal with mobs and bosses, etc. She also leveled up during the run (from 11 to 13) and took some time to read her new abilities and talents.

During this, our tank started flaming her for “AFKing” and, after just a few seconds, initiated a vote kick with the reason “no playing” — all while she was literally reading the abilities she had just unlocked.

At the second boss, she wasn’t top DPS (she was 3rd out of 4) and the tank flamed her again for “not doing damage” before initiating another vote kick, this time with “no dps” as the reason.

I stepped in and told the group this was a Timewalking dungeon, that most of us were low level (everyone except the tank was between level 11–25), and that there was no need to kick new players who were just trying to learn. The tank kept flaming her, saying she was wasting his “precious time” because the dungeon took 15 minutes instead of 10.

I also pointed out that he seemed new as well (he had about 1400 achievement points), but he didn’t care and repeated that we were “wasting his time.”

So… AITA for stepping in to defend her and trying to explain the situation
