Pockets were also bugged to have a lot of extra money during the few times the server was up as well. 1. All the updates from Epoch saying the server is ready was a big fat lie.
2. Friday's "test" was in fact the silent launch which failed.
3. The weekend they took off was probably to discuss this merge with Ascension after the failed Friday launch.
4. This merge might be the reason people like Magic left the project.
5. Ascension wants Project Epoch's audience not the server/idea itself. Ascension has it's own version of Wotlk+ coming out soon. This was a marketing strategy from them and a good one.
6. Ascension will slowly take over Epoch and install P2W items in the future on Epoch's realms too. (Ascension is a full time job for most of their team. Ofc they want to see revenue from full time job.)

4. Magic was already dissatisfied with Kaytotes after he forced them to use trinity instead of azeroth core.
