People have also been wondering why there's no Tsukuyomimon in Shambala yet and making it be Gekkomon's Ultimate makes perfect sense
In recent times the different departments of the franchise have also been working closely together (card releases to shill recent products, the game division and card game division literally working together to animate stuff like Aphamon's summon, etc) so making the anime shill the newest lore isn't that far-fetched.
